Business Resiliency Manager (Vice President)

CCB Business Resiliency partners with Business Process Managers to ensure that resiliency planning is in place and tested so that bank operations will continue during a variety of disruptive events with minimal impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for one or more CCB Line of Businesses or Operations group, setting a high standard to project manage the annual renewal of CCB resiliency documents - BIA (Business Impact Analysis) and BRP (Business Resiliency Plans)

  • Control quality and ensures records in the firm-wide resiliency tool (RDMS - Resiliency Data Management System) are accurate, complete and up to date

  • Work with the Business Stakeholders at all levels to develop BRPs that are of high quality and dedicated to minimizing the business risk profile

  • Demonstrate analytical skills in assessing any resiliency risks based on the BRPs and that any risks identified are socialized, documented and mitigated accordingly

  • Demonstrate risk management skills to ensure BRPs meet the corporate standards

  • Influence Senior Leaders to establish the priority for mitigating identified resiliency risks

  • Coordinate the business process' participation and completion of annual resiliency testing as required by the corporate standards

  • Interact with Senior Business Resiliency Manager in creation and presentation of special initiatives and uplift for supported LOBs

  • Leads department centric projects with strategic focus, continuous successful execution of deliverables with superior project management skills

  • Be an extension of the partner business line in order to influence Senior Leaders from line to create robust and thorough BIA/Plans

  • Develops relationships in cross-lines of business to generate opportunities for synergies and best practice sharing

  • Degree level education or equivalent relevant professional experience

  • Demonstrated experience or aptitude in project management, risk management, quality control, business resiliency planning and crisis management

  • Three years + bank operations experience

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & SharePoint

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the desire to present to executive management

  • Ability to handle pressure situation and lead/assist with crisis management when needed

  • High level of desire to succeed, works well under pressure with minimal supervision

  • Must have flexible working hours, meet deadlines, pay attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize work accordingly.

Additionally, P&A helps drive and improve automation, simplification of processes and the enhancement of analytics. We are seeking a Finance Executive Director to lead the forecasting execution / analytics team for the Card Services LOB within Consumer & Community Banking. This critical leadership role is part of the broader Card Planning & Analysis (P&A) team and will directly interface with the CFO/CRO and multiple groups across the organization in owning and driving the complete forecasting process. The Card P&A team serves as a strategic analytical resource to help senior executives understand, manage, forecast, and plan the profitability of the business. This position reports directly to the Head of Card Services P&A. This position will lead a team of finance professionals responsible for the execution of both the Business budget/forecast and the Card quarterly Risk Appetite assessment including CCAR/ICAAP. This requires strong partnership and exceptional thought leadership across a multi-faceted forecasting process including Risk teams (model developers and loss forecasters), Finance teams (CFO's, P&A, Treasury, Forecasting COE, et al), and Business teams. A significant mandate of this role will be to rebuild the end-to-end forecasting/budgeting execution cycle through significant process reengineering and transformative change, leveraging new economic models, platforms, and analytical tools to meaningfully reduce cycle time while ensuring financial accuracy and integrity. The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong track record of transformation and being a change agent, can lead and empower an organization, and can be the architect behind driving an integrated, sustainable financial process/infrastructure. * Fully own the forecasting cycle from start to finish, accountable for the final product in partnership with major data input providers (Finance, Risk, Business) and output stakeholders (CFO, CRO, CEO, Business Executives) * Lead the transformation of a new redesign, build, and maintenance of the governance of the forecast and enhance/implement controls as needed * Own the forecast storyline including presentation materials and communications to executives; drive scenario analytics and deep dives to articulate core drivers and key messages * Own the data input/output validation process of the forecasting model engine to ensure flawless execution * Design and build analytical tools in the internal forecasting data environment to drive value-added insights and analysis * Own the internal and external regulatory CCAR submission for Card Services as part of the broader firm's CCAR submission, including regulatory documentation/governance, analytics, and management reviews * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering or related majors; advanced degree preferred * Minimum of 10+ years experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably in the banking industry * Fluency with synthesizing large data sets and understanding quantitative approaches to forecasting; strong financial modeling or risk modeling background is required * Process engineering / optimization mindset with natural curiosity to challenge the status quo * Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, including the ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions * Strong executive presence and ability to face off with senior management and external regulators/consultants * Proven ability to lead and build strong teams and influence and partner across all levels of management * Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to synthesize information into concise, insightful, and actionable takeaways.
