The Membership Development Manager develops and maintains business, membership, and partner relationships to increase the organization's growth and expansion within designated regions. Identifies local market demographics and industry trends to solicit prospective opportunities. Promotes and represents the organization's brand, collaborates interdepartmentally to identify opportunities to grow membership, and participates in business/community relations activities and networking opportunities.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or other related fields of study or equivalent experience equal to eight years
Minimum five years of sales experience required
Minimum five years' business development, strategic partnership, or account management experience required
Financial services experience preferred
Experience with Salesforce CRM tool preferred
Essential Skills:
Strong public speaking skills with ability to deliver messaging in-person and via video conference calls
Business to Business (B2B) development and account management skills
Strong interpersonal skills and effective at creating working relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Responsibilities:
Manages the daily execution of the membership development strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives
Responsible for building and managing a team of Membership Development Representatives to ensure sales, service, and operational goals are met within a designated region
Builds and manages a portfolio of strategic partnerships within a designated region
Identifies and executes membership development and partnership programs; on-site events table opportunities, sponsorships, financial literacy, internal training, etc.
Executes action plans to achieve goals for partnership acquisition, retention, and overall growth of strategic partner portfolio
Develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and member base to understand and respond to competition and partnership demand changes
Prepares and delivers formal presentations to key decision makers and provides resources that encourage engagement and brand alliance
Establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of membership development objectives
Researches new markets prior to market entry and makes suggestions for new product offerings or improvements to sales and marketing efforts
Administers and negotiates new business proposals and prepares/executes contracts as needed.
Retains and strengthens current partnerships by evaluating program effectiveness and identifying areas of potential growth
Researches market demographics, industry trends and marketing opportunities to identify prospective members and strategic partnerships
Partners interdepartmentally across the credit union to plan and execute on-site, partnership, and community engagement events
Coaches teams in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new strategic partners, creating new sales funnels, and driving new membership growth
Facilitates and attends B2B networking and association events to promote the organization and its products and services
Collaborates with the Membership Development Program Team on the oversight and management of swag, collateral, event materials, and storage within a designated region
Performs all duties inherent in the role of a manager
Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

The good faith range for this position is $79,500 to $95,500 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
All candidates will be subject to a background check, credit check, and drug test to determine employment eligibility.
