We are seeking an experienced, Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt Certified Business Process Improvement (BPI) Project Manager to join the Business Transformation team. The Business Transformation group acts as a business partner across the Dexcom enterprise to identify and implement business process improvements for scale.

The Lean/Six Sigma Blackbelt Certified BPI Project Manager will be responsible for projects and efforts that focus on the continuous improvement of enterprise efficiency, process quality and customer experience. This includes leading Continuous Business Process Improvement initiatives such as working with stakeholders to identify, collect and analyze process data to look for opportunities to reduce/eliminate process wastes and turning them into continuous improvement and/or digital transformation projects, monitoring process improvements and reporting ROI/savings. You will work cross-functionally with leadership of our Dexcom Operations, Training, Quality, Policy, Content, Technical Services teams to ensure that the efficient and effective workflows and processes are created and executed to help resolve process issues. Additionally, you will design and implement process measurement systems, analyze process data and utilize this information to identify strategic opportunities as part of the continuous improvement process. You will actively serve as a change agent by stimulating, communicating, and institutionalizing business process improvement initiatives using a variety of tools across various functions.

In this role, you will consistently solve Company challenges. You will provide cross-functional stakeholders and leadership with documentation that effectively communicates risk/challenges, root causes, impacts to the end-to-end process, and BPI recommendations to eliminate/mitigate those impacts. As an imbedded resource to several teams, you will be the go-to person to help implement, promote, and set the standard on how we do business process innovation. You will promote, demonstrate, and authentically communicate the benefits and applications of BPI. This multifaceted role demands interaction with a variety of stakeholders from VPs to individual contributors. To be successful in this role, you'll have a passion for details, strong presentation skills, data analytics skills, the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, apply "outside the box" thinking to achieve objectives, the ability to facilitate virtual meetings with stakeholders located in various Company sites, and enjoy a fast-moving organization. You will maintain awareness of initiatives that may impact BPI efforts and identify opportunities to leverage efforts across the Company to achieve goals and objectives. You'll possess a natural collaborative nature while maintaining a logical outlook for execution.

Functional Description: Professional Individual Contributor

Performs non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery. Oversees multiple projects, coordinate crossfunctional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Promote and strengthen processes and controls by working with leadership to identify, develop, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of process improvement projects.

  • Lead cross-functional working groups to improve business processes by studying current practices and proposing modifications, taking an end-to-end perspective with a focus on improved service, operational excellence, and increased customer satisfaction.

  • Quantitatively determine and track expected productivity improvement and savings from BPI events, and tie savings to P&L.

  • Visualize as-is and to-be business processes and process performance and assist business teams to develop a clear understanding of process change impacts with adoption approaches.

  • Direct a variety of type and scale of improvement projects, simultaneously as needed, ensuring all projects are managed using established BPI process.

  • Consult with key stakeholders to identify success criteria for the identified projects. Work with the appropriate benefiting parties to establish ongoing measurement and reporting of results.

  • Actively champion business process improvement throughout the enterprise.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, last minute requests and quick turnarounds with a positive attitude

  • Demonstrated the ability to resolve problems and present appropriate business solutions and recommendations; ability to make quality, independent decisions.

  • Train and educate the organization. Implement continuous improvement methodologies including, but not limited to Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Principles and others.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have Lean/Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification

  • Minimum of 6-10 years' of proven relevant Business Process experience in leading business process improvement, use of methodology and project management.

  • Proficient in data collection and analysis, value stream mapping, process capability, analysis, financial impact, root-cause identification, BPMN standards, etc.

  • Ability to adapt strategy and approach based on changing business priorities.

  • Ability to collaborate and partner with various leadership and SMEs across the organization.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment while transforming incomplete business needs into well-defined business/functional requirements in order to institute BPI.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, and influencing skills with ability to interface across services functional areas and business operations at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated use of data analysis and metrics to drive decision making and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Intermediate or advance Excel skills (ability to utilize data from multiple source files/tables, create pivot tables and charts)

  • Conduct other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification (i.e Agile/Scrum, PMP, CPM, Prince II) in addition to LSSBB

  • Preferably with some prior experience in Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Voice of the Customer (VOC)

  • Familiarity with interactive digital dashboards such as Tableau

  • Life science or medical device industry experience preferred

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience. At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.
