Jacobs has an opening for a Business Process Engineer in Fort Meade, MD. The personnel in this role will:
Work closely with their Government clients on projects designed to modernize existing processes and engineering methodologies. They will also be responsible for supporting the client in transitioning different project teams to meet mission objectives.
Apply process improvement and engineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects
Assist the Government with transitioning of existing project teams and the facilitation of project teams in the accomplishment of project activities and objectives
Perform activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements
Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer
Serve as key coordinator between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise wide integration of re-engineering efforts
Ten years of process engineering experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering may be substituted for four years of experience
Experience applying business process engineering principles.
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
