Business Process Engineer, Senior
Work collaboratively with executive suite, program managers, and business process owners and users to transform agency achievement, its core mission and serve as a trusted advisor along the way. Engage with agency's business process subject matter experts (SMEs) and federal IT system managers to develop vision and case for reengineering, diagnose inefficiencies and redesign existing business processes, develop "To-Be" processes, recommend optimal implementation procedures, and quantify potential impacts from adopting recommendations. Consider and recommend how agency can modernize its current IT system to drive efficiencies and effectively support transformed business processes. Work with consulting team to identify and document IT system requirements based on recommended business processes, and outcome that will inform the acquisition and implementation of a modernized IT system. Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate system alternatives and enhancements to support modernization. Lead, or guide team members to provide, group facilitation, stakeholder interviewing, training, and knowledge transfer. Serve as a key coordinator between customers to ensure enterprisewide integration of reengineering efforts and application of best practices.
10+ years of experience with IT and management consulting supporting clients with business process reengineering and business process mapping
Knowledge of business process reengineering, change management best practices, business process modeling methodologies, notations, and relevant tools, including BPMN, ARIS, System Architect, and Visio
Ability to develop industry work-products, including cradle-to-grave for process improvement and conduct process improvement workshops and analysis, such as SIPOC, root cause analysis, failure mode effects analysis, value streaming, theory of constraints, and requirements development
Ability to develop PowerPoint briefings and written communications for executive-level audiences
Public Trust clearance
BA or BS degree in business administration, organization management, information systems, IT, MIS, or decision science
Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Certified Change Management Professional, Certified Technology Business Management Executive, or Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
Experience in supporting business process reengineering, business process mapping, or technical architecting activities for large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) or financial management systems, especially for highly customized systems
Experience in implementing new business processes through organizational change management mechanisms to comprehend implications and workload to inform future state process design
Experience in developing or managing an integrated master schedule
Ability to be a self-starter, team player, and leader in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, internal and external to client organization and drive consensus
MA or MS degree in business administration, information systems, IT, or decision science
