Our Applied Technology organization puts some of Motorola Solutions' brightest minds on unique, highly challenging projects. Based on decades of experience with our customers, we apply leading-edge technologies to support security and safety throughout the world. Leads initiatives to map, analyze and make recommendations for change to complex business systems and problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are efficient, cost effective and meet user requirements. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations based on company systems needs. Advises business groups by providing technical and strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities.
Map, analyze and model business processes as they are, compare them to the future and improved designs and determine the necessary changes for arriving at the improved state.
Design business processes and manage any subsequent changes to them.
Test and execute processes using the BPMS/BPEL or similar to ensure that the right results are achieved.
Write business process specifications to be used by the development team for process and system automation.
Examine processes holistically to understand the impact of changing them on people, strategy, existing software applications and general business operations.
Develop and track business process metrics.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of processes to ensure consistent value delivery.
Proficient understanding of ERP and Shop Floor systems with other business processes a plus.
Proficient in Process Management Lifecycle tools and processes such as BPML/BPEL or similar.
Technical understanding of underlying software development processes and technologies to facilitate process implementation changes such as XML, BI systems and SQL Reporting. Basic knowledge of servers, databases, and other client side technologies.
Ability to prototype proposed or temporary process changes using MS Access/Excel VBA or similar is a plus.
Good written and oral communication skills.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
Bachelors Degree required with at least 5 years experience in related field.
