JOB OVERVIEW:

The Business Analyst works closely with Information Technology, Digital Marketing and Restaurant Operations departments to understand business objectives and determine and document business process and requirements while partnering with the solution teams within IT to deliver comprehensive solutions. As part of understanding the business needs, this role will also need to explore industry information and elicit stakeholder input to help implement improvement in the customer focus, efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of these processes. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the digital space for hospitality industry.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understanding business process management and business requirements of the customers and translate them into business and functional documentation that can be used by developers to deliver applications that support the functional, technical and visual requirements

  • Lead requirements analysis, validation and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable actionable. Manage changes to requirements through effective use of change control processes and tools

  • Facilitate discussion and elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, user stories, requirement annotations, scenarios, wire frames, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or requirements workshops. -Facilitate requirements prioritization based on business needs

  • Analyze business processes to identify, document and communicate solutions that improve the business process.

  • Assist with promoting the key concepts of process improvement and its benefits to the business units

  • Support the definition and documentation of descriptive artifacts including user stories, wireframes, and requirements

  • Remain engaged throughout the project at critical milestones, also assisting the business partners on the business readiness for their portion of the project

  • Support test planning and execution activities through close partnership with the QA team.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 4 years' Business Analyst with Process Improvement experience

  • System thinking capability and analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experienced in agile methodology

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • BS/BA in Business Administration or business-related subject

OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong facilitation, observational and interviewing skills

  • Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once

  • Ability to work independently under the direction of the project manager

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts

  • The candidate must be process-oriented with sound judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through including the flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment

  • Monitor and manage project scope and enforce change management with the support of the project manager.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA in MIS, Computer Science, or Mathematics

  • MBA a plus

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean)

Sr. Business Process /Reporting Analyst Purpose of the Role: The Sr. Business Process /Reporting Analyst role is part of the Process Excellence team within the Planning and Procurement department. The role will improve processes that start and end with the customer by successfully partnering end-to-end with other functions to diagnose issues, design solutions, implement recommendations, and measure business outcomes. The Sr. Business Process / Reporting Analyst must understand and help define supply chain business needs for process automation and business intelligence and then determine appropriate, detailed technology solutions. The role will define metrics, conduct analysis, create, and maintain databases and applications, build new productivity tools, help manage and extend the use of enterprise systems, and aid the creation of presentations to communicate the health of operations. Solutions would use existing enterprise systems (SAP/SalesForce.Com) more effectively, extend existing systems (changing configurations/ implementing new core capabilities/ custom functionality), or develop and integrate alternative solutions. The individual will also drive collaboration across business and technical teams to define enhanced business processes and tools and effectively implement solutions which enable business improvements. Experience in supply chain process improvement, Six Sigma quality techniques, and management information systems is desirable. Success will be measured by improvements in supply chain Planning and Procurement business results with the goal being to improve business process adaptability and analyses. Overall Job Responsibilities: * Manage daily and month end/quarter end demand, supply and procurement reporting to call out learnings, insights, and trends. * Review forecast attainment and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to present findings to senior management, as well as partner with planning managers ensure department objectives are met. * Analyze supply and procurement information using broad and deep knowledge of both the business and the technical aspects of all planning and procurement functions. * Develop robust analytics, tools and reporting which will drive to a consistent, efficient approach to supporting management decisions. * Partner with team members, managers, and directors in all operational functions to define metrics to monitor performance, drive efficiency of processes, and achieve targeted outcomes of the department. * Identify, develop, and implement improvements for data accuracy and reporting by presenting complex analytical issues in a clear, easy-to-understand format. * Identify key issues and work with management and staff to solution current process enhancements and operational effectiveness to best in class, including the identification and implementation of automation. * Balance multiple tasks and reprioritize as needed. * Sort through ambiguity and work in sometimes undefined roles. * Troubleshoot data issues affecting management visibility and clearly communicate issues. * Learn new technologies and skills. * Implement best practice project management and process excellence processes and systems to help define project plans and timelines, track and report progress and changes and coordinate information flow between all stakeholders. * Other duties assigned by manager. What You Need to be Successful: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field. * 5 years of experience in a supply chain organization with track record of process improvement using technology. * Advanced skills in SQL Including: writing queries, creating tables, data loads, database administration. * Experience in Power BI, or other data visualization tools. * Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. * Strict attention to detail and intensity around consistently delivering high quality outputs. * Advanced experience applying Business Intelligences tools in a production environment. * Superior analytical and technical skill required to succeed. * Experience in planning, assessing, leading, and implementing change. * Self-starter who drives continuous improvement. * Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. * Strong organizational, observational, and communication skills. * Understands audience and matches communication methods accordingly. * Recognized ability to lead stakeholders towards common purpose. * Previous experience support Customer facing organizations desired.
