Business Process Analyst 2

The Position

Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.

Under limited supervision, incumbents perform the full range of journey level duties described in the series concept. Incumbents may serve as a leadworker as assigned.

The position is located in Carson City at the Unemployment Insurance Support Services (UISS) office. A Business Process Analyst 2 with the Employment Security Department (ESD) will develop and document business and functional requirements in support of state unemployment insurance programs.

Additionally, the incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert regarding agency programs and activities; identify automated processes in need of enhancement; serve as a technical liaison between business and IT in an effort to analyze and resolve computer operating system defects impacting agency program processes and service delivery; facilitate system training development of written instructional materials; and develop and provide reports upon request.
