Zurich North America is currently looking for a Business Practices & Project Consultant to support our Life A&H division. This role will be based at our corporate headquarters located in Schaumburg, IL.

As a Business Practices & Project Consultant, you will serve as a liaison between the business unit and IT, translating business strategy into technical solutions. You will lead scum teams primarily focused on executing tactical and strategic initiatives, defining problem statements and framing solution, scope, and objectives.

You will draw from your strong understanding of the insurance / financial industry, processes, and business systems to drive research and analysis of the defined problem, design the recommended solution, and work with a cross-functional team to deliver the agreed upon solution, including associated change management activities.

This role requires strong stakeholder management and communication (both written and verbal) skills to be effective in the role. It's preferred that the qualified candidate has proficiency around ZNA's current Life A&H product line.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area

AND

  • Knowledge in organizational design and development

  • Experience leading organizational change

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant insurance industry designations and certifications

  • MBA

  • Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies and how those technologies can be used to improve insurance business processes and transaction processing

  • Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute

  • In-depth knowledge of the tools, concepts, methodologies and techniques of business process reengineering, change management, performance metrics and measures, customer assessment, cost/benefit analysis, benchmarking, process mapping/simulation, data collection, problem identification and interpretation

  • Broad-based knowledge of insurance industry including knowledge of insurance business processes and processing

  • Advance Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships

  • Strong Analysis and problem solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
