Job Purpose

Developing and executing product and business strategy in a world of rapid technological and social change requires a highly capable, highly knowledgeable, and highly engaged team. Sustainability Development Business Unit is tasked with navigating the path for Honda's future Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric, and Energy products, services, and businesses. The team will focus on building and sustaining Honda's core brand values and enhancing brand image and competitiveness in the marketplace by innovating, incubating, selecting, developing, applying, and operating new businesses, features, products, and services with responsibility for their profitability, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction for Honda in North America.

Resource Circulation Unit is responsible for establishing Honda's North American Resource Circulation strategy and support the overall Sustainability strategy to reach Carbon Neutrality by 2050. Specifically, Resource Circularity Research Sr. Analyst is responsible to investigate and report on latest development of circulation strategies in North America including regulatory trends. Identify and propose circularity strategies to achieving company's financial, operational and sustainability metrics while meeting future competitiveness for all Honda products. The Research Sr. Analyst acts as the lead researcher for business development opportunities with external partners, propose and gain consensus of opportunities to strengthen the brand value while adhering to the approved plans/milestones in a timely manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Research, analyze and correlate business, policy, regulations and operations to forecast & develop strategies with innovative approaches / inquisitive solutions to capture & optimize opportunities in the market.

  • Coordinate strategic projects/systems and committees cross-functional and cross-division teams towards common corporate goals, including communication with Business Development Leaders, other Honda affiliates such as federal and local government relation members and external parties

  • Prepare & publish monthly reports on the latest development based on market condition and regulatory influences globally effecting Resource Circulation from end of life vehicle recycling in North America to internal and external customers. Establishing metrics to support/monitor new business development future Resource Circularity business

  • Budget Management

  • Plan, review and submit budget plans and shopping carts and invoices for assigned projects.
  • Develops policies to increase efficiency by necessary process changes throughout the RC supply value chain while ensuring quality and safety

  • Create innovative new business initiatives, pilot program planning, and regional rollouts; based on results, makes, recommends, and implements adjustments and modifications

  • Provide technical support to internal and external project teams during the development and execution of circulatory project

  • Note: The time allocation percentages provided are approximate and can vary based on project demands, organizational priorities, and specific project phases. The percentages are intended to give a general idea of the key areas of responsibility and the relative time commitment associated with each category

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Business, Compliance and Governance or a MBA

  • A minimum of three years of managing major projects and complex initiatives

  • A minimum of three years developing and implementing new business and plan to meet future objectives

  • A minimum of three years of developing strategies and solutions for resource circulatory related business, technology and initiatives

  • Experience in research, planning, forecasting and establishing processes

  • Experience in bringing projects from idea to implementation

  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements and concepts of resource circulatory regulatory

  • Knowledge of EV, Environmental, Sustainability and Recycling Industries

  • Experience in using data and visualization techniques (charts) to support analysis and strategies
