A Day in the Life

  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvementof logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchangesystems, demand management, electronic data systems administration.

  • Represent Wound Closure Team in BusinessPlanning Processes and all projects aiming to streamline the value stream.

  • Ensures that customer service and timeobjectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to meet marketingand financial objectives.

  • Builds relationships with manufacturing andinternal customers through the resolution of delivery issues.

  • Integrates market intelligence from operatingentities, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to continuouslyimprove competitive position.

  • Conducts Inventory counts and reconciles resultswith inventory records.

PeopleManagement

  • Management and supervisory professionals withtwo or more employees who are focused on tactical, operational and some strategicactivities within a Wound Closure Business.

  • Most of his/her time is spent overseeingtheir area of responsibility, managing performance, developing talent,engagement and inclusion, communicating business and operational developments,planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of directreports.

  • Goal achievement is typically accomplishedthrough performance of direct and / or indirect reports.

  • A key responsibility of roles in this careerstream is managing people. which includes: accountability for mentoring,developing and coaching staff on meeting/exceeding performance expectations anddefined objectives, providing leadership to staff ensuring the prioritizationof strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performancegoals and targets, conducting performance reviews, and staff 1:1s to guideperformance management and employee development efforts and manage towarddepartmental goals.

  • Provides clear strong leadership on futuredirection.

  • Establishes organizational policies in a majorsegment of the company.

  • Performs work without appreciable direction.

  • Organizational Impact: Leads the development ofthe corporate strategy for own major business unit or function.

  • Accountable for achievement of overall Wound Closurebusiness financial goals.

  • Management authority to make significantbusiness and strategic decisions.

  • Decisions impact the financial performance,employees, or public image of the company.

  • Innovation and Complexity: Champions innovationacross the company recommending programs or projects and conceptualizing anddeveloping new approaches.

  • Management of challenges and issues which arecomplex, undefined and impact multiple businesses or functions, whereinformation is typically difficult to obtain and extensive investigation tounderstand the root cause of problems is required.

  • Communication and Influence: Identifies,initiates, establishes and develops long term strategic relationships andalliances with key organizational stakeholders.

  • Serves as principal spokesperson for businessplanning functional area; making recommendations to leaders and executivesregarding strategic initiatives.

  • Influences across functions and geographies tonegotiate and gain cooperation on divergent objectives.

  • Leadership and Talent Management: Directs andcontrols one or more functional areas, geographies, divisions, product groupsor service groups that include multiple teams led by directors and / or SrManagers.

  • Determines organizational structure and developstalent strategies.

  • Develops management team to support strategic objectives.

  • Authorizes hiring, firing, promotion and rewardwithin own area.

  • Required Knowledge and Experience: Requiresadvanced management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department projectteams or manage across multiple functions.

  • Typically, has achieved mastery within aspecific technical or broad expertise across multiple related disciplines.

  • Requires a University Degree and minimum of 10years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

  • People management experience required

  • Advanced management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or across multiple functions.

Nice to Have:

  • Inventory management experience.

A Day in the Life * Conducts analyses of inventory levels andcoordinates with production and sales requirements. * Ensures that Wound Closure inventories aresecure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel. &ConductsInventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records. * Maintains controls over finished goods &ConductsInventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records. * Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoingshipments are correct across DCs * Assists in the improvement of demand forecastingaccuracy for internal customers including determining the appropriate algorithmfor statistical forecasts. * Maintains and manages product history, accurateforecasting, and promotional demand. * Analyzes internal demand stream information andcategorizes according to demand patterns. * Aligns sales/marketing intelligence for WoundClosure for use in forecast systems, working with different commercial teamsacross geographies * Delivers and/or manages projects assigned andworks with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. * May act as a mentor to colleagues or may directthe work of other cross functional professionals.
