Overview

Reports to the Regional Manager

  • Airport Operations and will be responsible for all aspects of internal and external communication related to tracking and driving excellent compliance on the aircraft cleaning and pest control programs for ExpressJet's fleet. Responsibilities include oversight and auditing of all cleaning and pest control service providers for both performance and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies related to performance of outside service providers across our network. Report out at least twice weekly compliance for each of the five special mission cleaning programs as well as weekly, monthly, and annual results of any Special Mission (Deep), RON, Turn Cleaning, audits, finding and corrective measures

  • Audit the cleaning and pest control service providers and provide monthly written results to mainline partner in a format they have approved

  • Audit findings identified by our mainline partner will be coordinated and corrected with/by service provider within 5 days of written notification or mutually agreed upon date

  • Monitor and coordinate with mainline partner aircraft appearance leadership and communicate any changes in aircraft appearance standards, processes, tooling, chemicals or supplies to ensure ExpressJet is compliant with our mainline partner flying agreement, cleaning and pest control programs

  • Work with ExpressJet Airport Operations, Safety and Maintenance teams in identifying any changes in processes, procedures, supplies or chemicals and assisting in the development of a Safety Risk Assessment for anything related to Aircraft Appearance and pest control. Active participant in SRM

  • Constantly liaison with each of the service providers in the network for approval and work detail entries in ExpressJet's Aircraft Cleaning System (ACS) for out-of-schedule work that needs to be completed including ad-hoc and work falling within the advance work window

  • Serve as lead system Administrator for the ACS. This system allows us to track compliance by program, by tail, by cleaning base. To include working with IT for any enhancements and modifications to our tracking

  • Liaison with ExpressJet Maintenance Planning, Tech Ops Base Managers/Supervisors and Aircraft Interior Repair departments to help audit, report and track cleaning/condition and pest control issues by specific tail number to ensure repairs, cleaning and treatments are accomplished in a timely manner

  • Work with appropriate Technical Operations departments in the evaluation of any proposed changes in fabrics, materials, equipment relative to the interior or exterior cleanliness of the aircraft

  • Establish a working relationship with mainline partner Hub Service Managers in each hub to report out on cleaning providers' compliance issues

  • Establish a working relationship with mainline partner Airport Operations Airport Audit team so that we continue to receive audit reports by this group

  • Working in coordination with mainline partner Airport Operations Audit team, conduct audits of service provider work to ensure quality of each clean

  • Additionally ensure that outside vendors' staff have been properly trained and documented to perform all cleaning missions on ExpressJet aircraft and they are using appropriate chemicals, supplies, tooling and processes in accordance to established standards

  • Train new service provider staff on Cleaning specifications and methods as necessary

  • Assist in preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP) for the establishment of services by potential new service providers. Includes issuance of RFP, evaluating all submittals, contract review and awarding

  • Review and approval of invoices for programs that are funded by ExpressJet.

  • Participate in department budget preparation and provide background on variances to plan.

  • Support mainline partner in any requests for information they may have on work that they fund.

  • Monitor advance flight schedules and coordinate with service providers to ensure we have adequate work at each cleaning base, or if necessary, review where overnight cleaning opportunities need to be established when the fleet migrates and overnight cleaning opportunities are diminished

  • Maintain awareness of industry developments/innovations/regulations and compare with current scope of work to prepare and propose updates and adjustments to our aircraft appearance and pest control programs

  • Ensure annual performance and development goals are achieved

  • Perform other duties, projects or tasks as assigned by the Regional Manager

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (GED)

  • Willingness and ability to take a customer-focused approach to all activities for both internal and external customers

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external parties with a willingness and ability to be a team player and be self-motivated

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US (position not eligible for sponsorship)

  • Effective negotiation, audit and sales skills

  • Exercises solid judgement and decision making skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Ability to travel

  • Proven ability in direct sourcing, networking and prospecting potential service providers

  • Exhibit strong organization and follow through skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as interpersonal skills

  • MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word) experience intermediate to advanced

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 years industry experience
