Role

The Business Solutions Analyst helps the Business Solutions Manager in providing analysis support in response to business needs and works closely with the technology team to implement solutions using Agile and Scrum methodologies. This includes contributing to the development of business cases for review and approval and helping prioritize features through the development of high-quality business requirements. You will work with a variety of different Operations departments, both internally and externally, to implement processes that will lead to increased revenue, reduced costs, increased efficiencies, and customer experience enhancements across the bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in user story development and prioritization with Operations Solutions leadership and Scrum teams.

  • Conduct specific business analysis activities to support the Technology Team and help develop functional cases to support testing efforts. Work with the Scrum Team through analysis, design, code, test and deploy for each item in the sprint.

  • Update the Scrum Team on accomplishments and plans working towards sprint goals in daily scrum stand-ups.

  • Track progress towards the achievement of sprint goals using Product Backlog management tools.

  • Escalate to the Operations Solutions leadership team risks and issues with potential significant impact.

  • Maintain data models, queries, and extracts as needed for recurring reports.

  • Prepare documents such as business process diagrams, flowcharts, requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and reviews with stakeholders.

  • Execute user acceptance testing as needed and document test results.

  • Develop content for internal workshops and employee engagements to educate on specific technologies and applications to facilitate adoption of new processes.

  • Provide regularly scheduled progress reports to the Operations Solutions leadership team and obtain sign-off upon the completion of primary deliverables.

  • Suggest and develop improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve team effectiveness.

  • Assist in resolving operational issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of proven experience in strategy, business operations, analytics, and/or project management.

  • 2-3 years proficiency with the suite of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), SQL, Azure DevOps, AWS, Fiserv, Abrigo Sageworks, and/or similar systems.

  • Understanding of Project Management and SDLC methodologies preferred but not required.

  • Attention-to-detail to ensure creation of a quality product throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Ability to communicate technical and complex concepts effectively.

  • Sound data analysis, problem resolution, and decision-making skills required.

  • Ability to work in a challenging environment and work independently.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other teams.

  • Combination of experience in systems/IT working with financial services, mortgage, and/or banking industries a plus.

  • Prior testing/quality assurance experience
