Siemens is looking for a self-starting, entrepreneurial, action-oriented student to support our Mainstream Engineering Business Operations team. The Business Operations team is responsible for the data reporting and analytics that drive the decision making of our business. Our Mainstream Engineering business is focused on delivering world class engineering software applications to small and medium sized product manufacturers around the globe. In this role you will work closely with senior business analysts to design and implement business metric reports and dashboards, analyze trends, and make recommendations based on data analysis. You will get the opportunity to:

  • Design and implementation of data queries, reports and dashboards for business metrics

  • Execute ad hoc reports for the leadership team and business development resources

  • Identify patterns and trends in data sets

  • Write summary reports and presentations of the data analysis conducted


  • Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a undergraduate degree or master's degree in finance or computer science

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • An analytical mind and attention to detail

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, including features such as pivot tables and macros

  • Experience using data reporting and analytics tools, such as Tableau, is desired

  • Experience creating effective presentations using data graphs and charts

Responsibilities include: * Leadership: * Fulfill all tasks related to managerial duties at Ericsson (IPM, Time Approvals, etc.) * Develop close working relationship with MANA Networks team ensuring optimum interaction, knowledge of business, and superior customer satisfaction. * Be a thought leader to the Networks LT, challenging, and guiding them towards success. * Be empowered to drive change, to be different, and to make a lasting difference. * Develop close working relationship with the leaders and other supporting organizations; ensuring optimum interaction, knowledge of business, and superior customer satisfaction. * Work with peers in Business Operations to ensure consistent, improved, and efficient ways of working. * Grab, run, and handover all issues that arise for the business that lack ownership ensuring that nothing goes unaddressed. * Centralized Cost Management: * Drive business transformation, cost improvements, and operational excellence as aligned with the region and other supporting organizations with a high focus on Networks in IT, mobile phone, facility, and other common areas, such as PCard and travel. * Improve reporting, process, and controls around centralized cost, driving SDE/WAVE savings cards towards targets. * Drive and support ad-hoc initiatives/projects that arise. * Audits, Process, & New Tool/System Implementation/Adoption: * Support PaT, CBE (PMCoE), and Digital transformation regarding initiative tracking and process, and improvements. * Drive ISO Audits and BCM across Networks ensuring successful completion, engagement and process. * Ensure Merlin data is updated on an annual basis driving any required change management with local and global stakeholders * Manage and drive the implementation and LCM of EriMatch for MANA Networks * Governance & Administration of Add-on-Sales: * Support the growth and expansion of the MANA Networks Add-on-Sales Initiative. * Ensure that the administration and audits are done within standards per agreed timelines for quarterly reviews and approvals. * Networks Governance & KPI Strategy and Process: * Develop and implement an internal governance structure and process that drives Networks to a standardized KPI structure for cost, resource management, delivery and operational accountability. This includes the alignment with Networks LT and other key stakeholders. * Drive the strategy and process for the business in the preparation and consolidation of KPIs, Monthly Governance, and Quarterly Operations reviews. * Drive the evolution of centralized information for fingertip management and exception-based management across network. This includes the design, visualizations, and drill down strategy for all data used by Networks to run the business. * Handover and manage the timelines of change associated with the above, facilitating the automation and development with the reporting team. * Drive strategy and process for standardization, uniformity, and financial governance for Networks * NBO Performance & Retention Bonus Program: * Manage, analyze, report and secure approval of the FSO bonus and retention program in alignment with program timelines and guidance.
