Role at a Glance

As Paystand's Business Operations Sr. Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization operates efficiently and effectively. As a Business Operations Sr. Manager, you will work with senior leaders, spearheading strategic projects across the company. In this role, you'll work with leadership to identify, structure, and act on the most challenging strategic and operational questions impacting our business. You will represent the COO in various contexts and ensure clear communication throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leaders across the organization to ensure projects and initiatives are executed on time.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the team's efficiency.

  • Help organize and prioritize initiatives, tasks, and operating cadence.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the COO, various senior leaders, and other stakeholders to foster synergy and facilitate a problem-solving mentality.

  • Act and lead a champion of a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

  • Foster open and effective team communication, leverage collective expertise and ensure alignment with company goals.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure collaboration and effective execution of initiatives, using project management best practices to monitor progress and identify potential risks or delays.

  • Prepare and disseminate operational reports and executive summaries to inform the COO and other senior leaders of status and progress.

  • Streamline operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs without sacrificing quality.

  • Evaluate current operational strategies and suggest improvements based on industry trends and emerging technologies.

  • Establish and maintain a consistent reporting structure that clarifies progress, challenges, and achievements.

  • Synthesize information to provide the COO with succinct, actionable insights.

  • Provide feedback and insights to the COO based on operational observations.

  • Contribute to strategic planning sessions, offering a ground-level perspective on operational feasibility and challenges.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations management role, preferably in the fintech industry

  • 2+ years relevant experience in management consulting or related professional services fields

  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and projects.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent financial modeling skills, with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.

  • Deep commitment to organizational excellence and continuous improvement.
