Confirms eligibility, verifies insurance benefits, obtains pre-certification, notification, and authorization for patient enrollment into the Community Care Plan / LIP Program. Calculates, communicates and collects supporting documents required for proof of eligibility to CCP/ LIP.
Meets with patients to gather needed insurance and financial information and screen for possible assistance. Acts as problem solver and serves as resource for insurance and financial issues. Performs necessary Business Office functions (including assisting walk-ins; patients with billing questions).
