Job Summary:

As the Business Operations Manager, you drive profitable sales growth through operational efficiencies and talent development of your store team. In partnership with the General Manager, you are responsible for tracking business performance and diagnosing how to amplify success and address opportunities that support or detract from profitability. You are responsible for creating effective schedules through the partnership with your General Manager and Department Managers. You ensure your store is appropriately staffed through the selection, training and deployment of Brand Associates. You lead through your Brand Associates to deliver a store that is operating at maximum efficiency and productivity. You oversee the execution of company standard operating procedures, expense management and facilities management. This is a critical leadership role within the store, leading both direct and indirect reports to positively impact the store team, the overall customer experience and general store operations.

As an Old Navy leader, your first priority is to contribute to the success of your store. This means that you not only deliver in your role as the Business Operations Manager, but you also model leadership behaviors and deliver as a manager on duty. As the Manager on Duty, you deliver results during your assigned time, drive key performance indicators and brand loyalty by leading through your team. You make decisions and collaborate with other members of your store leadership team to prioritize work based on business needs and company direction.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • College degree or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferred

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees

  • Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stock room, works with and around cleaning chemicals, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (including travel) to meet the needs of the business, including evenings, overnight and weekend shifts

The Compliance Division is seeking a proven performer who is dynamic and self-motivated to lead delinquent account collection strategy, tax discovery strategy, taxpayer service and facilities management of our Vancouver, WA office. As a member of the Compliance Division leadership team, you will influence others' enthusiasm to advance the agency and division's mission, vision, and values. You'll build trust among your colleagues through your open communication, professional credibility and leading by example. You'll help grow staff and encourage creativity and resourcefulness in pursuit of process improvement and value-added service to the public. Duties The District Compliance Manager leads and directs professional staff to fairly and efficiently collect revenues and administer programs to fund public services. In this position, you will: * Develop and implement strategies to maximize collection of delinquent accounts. * Assign account workload to revenue agents and provide clear direction to meet performance expectations. * Monitor and review revenue agent collection accounts and provide training, guidance, coaching, and technical advice as necessary. * Negotiate payment agreements with taxpayers on the more difficult accounts to resolve tax delinquencies. Such accounts are typically complex, politically sensitive, and/or high dollar. * Demonstrate reliability, diversity, integrity, and accountability to meet the demands of the workplace. Qualifications ~Please ensure that your application materials address the following qualifications~ * Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, accounting, communications, finance, economics, political science, criminal justice, law, sociology, or psychology (degree must be from an accredited college or university by the U.S. Department of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation [CHEA]) * Three years of professional experience performing Department of Revenue activities using Washington State excise tax laws and rules, OR four years of experience within the Compliance Division as a revenue agent with one of those years as a Revenue Agent 3 or 4. * Qualifying experience acquired in Compliance division tax operations is preferred. Additional qualifying experience may substitute year for year for education Throughout our selection process, we will also be seeking evidence of your ability to: * Utilize management principles including supervising, mentoring, training, motivating, coaching and evaluating staff to inspire them to be the best they can be. * Understand and follow the collective bargaining agreement, agency policies, and support diversity programs, and employee training. * Interpret and articulate excise tax laws, rules and Attorney General opinions. * Attain organizational goals and identify problems and initiate change for improvement. * Overcome resistance to change and build trust among colleagues and staff. * Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and negotiating skills. * Motivate and inspire others to realize their potential through leading by example and making a difference in the organization. * Engage employees in creative and innovative thinking, problem solving, judgment and decisiveness.
