Job Description

Forcepoint is looking for a Business Operations Manager to plan, organize, and execute successful delivery and execution of initiatives related to purchasing, budgeting, productivity, and program management in Cloud Operations and Digital Infrastructure. This leader will manage the day to day business operations of the organization.

This is a critical role that must maintain clear and effective communications across the team and the multiple Business Units @ Forcepoint. The candidate must be resourceful, self-sufficient, able to thrive, and flourish in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions

  • Eliminate operational bottlenecks in the organization through process improvements, cross-functional coordination, and communications

  • Lead vendor relationships and contract discussions in partnership with Finance and Procurement teams

  • Manage initiatives to optimize overall spend and utilization of IT assets across the enterprise

  • Assist in the management and forecasting of the organization's budget and adherence per plan

  • Coordinate projects and provide timely progress updates with measurable outcomes through KPIs

  • Help champion the learning org within the organization for continuous operational improvement

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, CIS, Mathematics or equivalent experience

  • 3+ Years in a Business Operations role supporting IT services

  • 2+ Years in managing projects and budgets

  • 2+ Years in leading teams or managing a team

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) developed and grown over time through external vendor interaction, team communications, and stakeholder management

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Operations product lifecycle management provides the required processes and execution to ensure an optimized supply chain during the sustaining phase of a product's lifecycle. Lifecycle Management processes oversee material availability, operational support requirements, and sustain products in the most cost-effective manner. Lifecycle management considerations include continuity of supply; maintenance & support; sustaining engineering; data management; configuration management; environmental compliance; and comprehends material sourcing strategies consistent with the overall Procurement strategy. The role will manage change notifications through multiple production sites and lines of business. Additional support of new product development through engagement in the prototype and sample build processes is also critical to the success of the individual. Job Duties & Responsibilities: * As a Lifecycle Manager, you will be accountable for the on-going success of the products post launch through the end-of-life (EOL). The role will maintain clear and open communications between internal and external stakeholders to focus on product strategy, relevance, profitability, and quality. * Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a lifecycle sustainment plan. Working with stakeholders to develop the lifecycle sustainment plan during Materiel Solution Analysis, and shall mature throughout Technology Development. * Product Quality – The PLM is responsible for any changes and improvements necessary to our existing product line that do not meet requirements of quality with aesthetics, form, fit or functional expectations. * Responsible for implementing and managing the tools and processes necessary to successfully manage and minimize Last Time Buy purchase requirements. * Effectively communicate on regular basis activities demonstrating accountability for functional and business objectives. * Lead Value Engineering Sessions with BL, Commodity Managers, and R&D Teams. * Ensure supply continuity for EOL components impacting product by coordinating qualification builds at the factory and ensuring alignment of R&D resources to support qualification of replacements. Manage related ECO's and MCO's to closure with the NPI team. * Provide overall lifecycle oversight and coordinate part qualifications with cross-functional team of representatives from R&D, Component Engineering, Product Engineering and Global Sourcing. * Project manage factory implementation of Redesign product cost reduction projects to optimize savings timeline. * Support environmental compliance requirements with Itron's vendor base. * Assist inventory group with E&O dispositions and SKU rework where appropriate to minimize excess inventory. * Drive projects to streamline the processes between R&D, manufacturing and prototype development and testing. Qualifications: Experience: This position requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
