Job Summary:

Business Operations Manager Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) Airports

Job Responsibilities:

  • Driving sales into ORD/MDW through internal and external marketing efforts; leveraging appropriate resources and partnering with key stakeholders to achieve annual goals.

  • Engaging with National and Regional AEs and their supporting teams to curate impactful submissions for agencies and direct clients.

  • Fostering a partnership with the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) that enhances Clear Channel Airports reputation and increases revenue opportunities.

  • Cultivating marketplace insights that generate new opportunities while helping to grow share with the existing customer base of customers.

  • Working with ORD/MDW Operations Team for on-time installs and takedowns; managing inventory of signage, dates of removal, relocation, and repairs.

  • Partnering with VP, Sales Optimization on pricing targets and inventory management to drive growth and maximize sales yield.

  • Liaising with Marketing team to develop marketing materials for ORD/MDW that will educate clients and sales team, and drive sales.

  • Creating working relationships with key airport stakeholders including airline managers, terminal managers, concessionaires, TSA, CPB, and more.

  • Representing Clear Channel Airports at community events throughout the city and airport.

  • Reviewing all contracts for the ORD/MDW market.

  • Exercising sound judgement in leading the market.

  • Facilitating sales opportunities for DBE sales teams.


  • A strong sales mindset driving revenue is the primary objective for this position.

  • Knowledge of media and the OOH advertising industry, business cycles, and key revenue and expense drivers.

  • Power of persuasion successful candidates will liaise weekly with CDA personnel and will be tasked with advocating for the company as a regular order of business.

  • Deep and broad business acumen with strong analytical, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills focused on achieving business results.

  • Able to multi-task and balance multiple priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including delivering effective presentations in weekly meetings.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and manage inventory availability via proprietary software applications.

  • Able to problem solve under tight timelines.

Other Requirements:

  • Able to travel up to 15% of the time for periodic corporate meetings and industry events.

  • Access to a reliable vehicle; possesses a valid driver's license.

  • Willingness to visit ORD/MDW up to 2-3 times a week.

Physical Demands:

  • Employee must be able to be on their feet and walk a full day, while facilitating tours.


  • Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years at a leading sales organization with specific accomplishments in strategic roles.

  • Experience in OOH advertising preferred.

  • Project Management and Operations Management experience desired but not required.

Responsibilities include: * Opportunity pipeline management; work with sales and Professional Services teams involved in proposing, selling and forecasting new business.
