Business Operations Developement
General Summary
The Sr Account Manager assumes accountability for the maintenance and growth of key accounts that offer a regional/national/global footprint or those that provide a specific strategic value to the company. This position may be responsible for managing, planning, directing and coordinating day-to-day operations at a client facility, including enforcement of policies, and planning the use of billable materials and personnel.
Essential Job Functions
Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern
Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values
Continually develops, tracks and reports back on upcoming project opportunities to executive leadership; owns all project development and brings in the proper resources as needed to win the work
Develops key account plans for specific customers or customer networks (i.e. key accounts business plans) and drives implementation through cross-departmental collaboration, establishing critical customer relationships at the corporate level rather than at the field level
Builds strong relationships with field management and executive leadership to achieve the following:
Identify new contract opportunities
Provide maintenance and accountability
Support operational direction related to utilization
Appropriately share lessons learnings
Develop specific pricing responses to varying work (turnarounds and projects, T&M, embedded personnel, etc.) and different seasonal impacts
Accountable for significant sales growth:
Researches and develops new customers and new customer opportunities
Promotes the full range of the enterprise service lines and capabilities, selling the enterprise value of the organization
Responsible for understanding geographical, industry and competitive trends (market intelligence) in order to establish T&M contract rates that ensure the maximum volume of work for the company at the maximum return
o Brings in specific support and expertise, as needed, to close every opportunity at the right price o Develops metrics for each key account to demonstrate the value the company brings and ensure visibility of quality, safety and execution goals and standards • Is an integral part of the strategic sales planning process, development of growth plans for specific geographies, industries and service lines, and is a constant shepherd of these plans to make sure they stay on track • Responsible for the transition plan related to new business acquired by displacing competitor • Responds to customer concerns regarding quality, and works internally to resolve those issues and prevent future occurrences, logging Non-Conformance Reports as required • Reviews all customer work records to ensure documentation is thorough, customer purchase orders are provided, and the item/equipment used is clear for costing and pricing the work • Monitors technician qualifications, both internal and customer-specific, and manages the field evaluation process to ensure all technicians are adequately evaluated as required • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous sales experience in a relevant industry preferred.
A keen understanding of commercial business practices and selling strategies
Candidates must be able to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the client's organization, from field personnel up to and including senior level management of customer or potential customer organizations
Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication abilities, coupled with the proven ability to balance priorities
Evidence of professional presentation skills and strong verbal and written communication skills including well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach in order to achieve results
Substantiated capability to effectively manage, and support, a fluid business environment
Self-motivated with a bias for action
Work Conditions
Position is located at a branch or site location
Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
