Senior Director Business Operations and Planning

Summary:

The Senior Director Business Operations and Planning is responsible for overseeing the execution and delivery of all Market Insights, Forecasting, Analytics and Field Support activities for the business unit. This includes daily analytics, KPI reporting, insight generation, ongoing forecasting and performance assessment as well as IC design and implementation to support business objectives.

This Senior Director will also work in close collaboration with US Business Unit leadership team and stakeholders to define and execute a strategic roadmap, focusing on the key initiatives and programs of the brand plan and identifying opportunities for enhancing brand performance. The successful candidate will align all therapeutic area dedicated resources to the brand roadmap and work directly with Business Operations management to ensure deliverables are achieved.

The Senior Director Business Operations and Planning will report to the Vice President Business Operations for Sanofi Genzyme with strong accountability to the Business Unit Head and their Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall accountability to set the strategy, vision and establish direction for the prioritization and execution of Business Operations objectives.

  • Manage the Quarterly Business Review process for Business Operations activities. Ensure clear, measurable goals are established, understood and executed against by each functional resource supporting the brand.

  • Lead budget, forecast and strategic plan submissions for Business Operations and the Business Unit as it pertains to Business Operations activities. Ensure all allocations are reviewed for accuracy.

  • Participate in Business Unit Leadership meetings, providing Insight and Operational expertise.

  • Create opportunities for efficiencies in brand performance through process improvements, vendor leverage and data analysis, partnering with the brand to implement solutions and track ROI.

  • Implement the framework and processes to maintain and manage service level agreements with our internal and external key partners.

  • Maintain the appropriate level of experienced resources to support the brand operations as well as the ongoing portfolio of business and technology driven projects and programs.

  • Integrating functionally aligned resources within Business Operations under a Therapeutic Area focused team and aligning to a common framework and set of guiding principles.

  • Support the VP of Business Operations in strategy development, execution of organizational plans, proactive preparation of management reports.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in similar roles, cross-business unit to ensure best practice sharing and effective leverage of support teams.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of work experience

  • Previous experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to drive change within an organization, cultivating support and maximizing contribution from team members

  • Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred

  • Experience leading without authority in a matrix environment

  • Collaboration, conceptual and innovation skills

  • Facilitation and presentation skills

  • Impact and influence competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent Project/Program management capabilities

VIEW JOBS 1/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-08T00:00 Lockheed Martin is seeking an Operations Engineer with materials planning and manufacturing engineering focus for a position in the Cambridge, MA / Andover, MA area for the Energy Storage (ES) program area. In particular this position will support the Coordination Chemistry Flow Battery (CCFB) product line which is a development program transitioning to production. A majority of the program personnel reside in Cambridge, MA, but as the program transitions to production, the production facility (located in Andover, MA) will be utilized much more often. This position will require the candidate to support both sites and have the ability to commute to either site as part of the job expectations This particular Operations Engineering role is a 50/50 split between a materials planning role and manufacturing engineering role. As we see it we are hoping to find a materials planning professional who also has an interest in Manufacturing Engineering. We might also consider the reverse combination as well on a case by case basis. For the materials planning portion of this role our ideal candidate would need to have a deep understanding of MRP systems and have the job knowledge to be able to create material master plans, explode a bill of materials (BOM) to order parts, create line of business (LOB) reports, etc. The engineer/planner will coordinate with and collaborate with our global supply chain (GSC) personnel for expediting and tracking hardware. The MRP solution will run on SAP. For the manufacturing engineering portion of this role our ideal candidate will support the transition of the development production work to a new LM facility and support toward supplier development. These tasks include supporting the design / fabrication and acquisition of all appropriate tooling, test equipment, and capital needed to manufacture product at rate. Supporting the retrofit / modification of a facility by working with outside suppliers and LM contractors will be an exciting element of this position. The operations engineer will evaluate and decide appropriate manufacturing plan / approach. The operations engineer will work with suppliers to develop robotic / automation for fabrication of the Battery Stack. The operations engineer must be able to work from an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure that our new facility can support our production needs. The operations engineer will perform tasks such as evaluating suppliers, evaluating engineering designs, and other tasks as needed. The operations engineer will develop inputs to the program IMS and lead production operations tasks. The operations engineer will develop a variety of production capacity and timeline estimates for various business needs. The operations engineer will ensure make / buy decisions are appropriately being made and approved. The operations engineer will help establish priorities for production during production process development while collaborating with suppliers and other key stakeholders. The operations engineer will evaluate and understand impacts to production from engineering changes as they are introduced. The operations engineer will work with suppliers and our manufacturing sites as we transition from development and ramp up to full rate production. This role will require travel to production sites and suppliers as the transition from development to Production matures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence are required. The ability and availability to travel is required.
