What is the job about
Logic PD is seeking a motivated Business Operations Analysis for our accounting and finance team in Eden Prairie, MN. You will be responsible for gathering information and data from the Company's information systems and other sources, organizing, summarizing, and analyzing and interpreting the information and data. Providing summary and detailed reports, and insights, guidance, and instruction to project teams and management leaders to support critical financial and business decisions.
The Business Operations Analyst partners with the finance team and provide insight into financial results as related to manufacturing operations and supply chain activity. The Business Operations Analyst will support FP&A, project teams and management leaders in performing financial analysis and transforming disparate data into meaningful information that ultimately generates significant value to the business. This a unique opportunity to engage with management, use business analytical tools and skills and play an active role in critical business decisions and improving key business tools and processes.
This role requires an enthusiastic hands-on and can-do individual who has and understanding of supply chain, operations, and finance, enjoys making improvements (large and small) and is adept at navigating complex data and reporting in a fast paced and at times ambiguous environment. The Business Operations Analyst is comfortable with change and can challenge the status quo by offering new ideas and business insights.
The Business Operations Analyst may lead the assembling project teams, assigning individual tasks and responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources as needed, and developing and managing project schedule to ensure timely completion of assigned project
What you'll be doing
30% Reporting & Analysis Organizational
Translate data/metrics into key insight for strategic and operational decision making.
Compile information available from a variety of sources, systems, reports and when necessary develop process mapping and other sources to develop quantitative and qualitative support for projects & proposals.
Ad-hoc analytical support to a wide range of projects.
30% Partnering with FP&A; decision support partner to FP&A
Transform disparate operations and supply chain data from fragmented sources into meaningful information for business analysis and understanding.
Work with finance and non-finance stakeholders to analyze the impact of proposed business decisions (including actual performance) on financial health.
Develop and track cross-company efforts to improve gross margin and cash flow.
Work with finance and costing to provide accurate quotes for potential new business.
30% Process Improvement
Utilize and improve existing frameworks and reports to enhance the analytical environment.
Partner and interface with Buyers; Program Managers; Suppliers, Customers and key contacts within Operations and IT to promote awareness of long term strategic requirements / opportunities.
Partner with internal customers to develop analyses that lead to actionable insights and improve business decision making, performance, and business growth.
Lead process improvement initiatives and provide execution support.
Conducts project meetings and responsible for project tracking, analysis and report out to stakeholders.
10% Supply Chain Support
Provide focus around Supplier and Inventory management from the procurement perspective. With a primary initiative to reduce MOQ's, costs, and the total number of suppliers, while increasing inventory turns, and supplier performance.
Identify areas of cost and lead-time improvement and help identify and eliminate duplication of material numbers.
Develop and deliver training and process documentation for all aspects of supply chain.
RequirementsWhat we're looking for
Evidence of exceptional ability to make a difference, especially within an ambiguous and fast paced environment
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics and/or equivalent professional experience
Ability to read and interpret financial statements and the implications of operational decision upon the financial statements recommended
Demonstrated success driving tangible impact / influencing within a broader organization
Excellent analytical skills (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, financial modeling, Business Information (BI) analytics, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior business leaders
Highly collaborative, team oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional projects
Drive and initiative to as necessary to quickly learn new business systems and tools
