Business Operations Analyst

Job Description:

Responsible for development of Supply Chain reporting & analytics. Partners with stakeholders to identify/implement opportunities for business process improvement to effectively manage costs, integrate new and existing businesses, and adapt to changes in the business and regulatory environment. Leading and working with cross-functional teams, creates and implements plans that enable the execution of business strategies. Participates in the E2E process by which specific reports are developed, validate data , mitigate any risk or inefficiencies , establish implementation plan that meets supply chain , financial and market share goals. Scope includes business execution processes related to lifecycle planning; order management , logistics management and inventory management (including analysis, optimization and velocity). Partners cross-functionally to develop, track and manage business metrics & dashboards for the organization - may include customer availability, service levels, on-time delivery, supplier response time (SRTs), supply chain costs, Forecast accuracy and inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads a broad range of complex supply chain processes, such as inventory analysis and planning, demand planning, import/export operations, and sales and operations planning (SOP).

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and leads/develops recommendations and provides insight for management.

  • Independently executes complex analysis, connecting planning to execution, and identifying issues and their impact.

  • Works cross-functionally to prioritize business needs.

  • Partners with global business units and supply bases to generate and deliver demand signals.

  • Leads cross-functional regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance the current business processes.

  • Defines and reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement actions to address.

  • Contributes to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations.

  • Communicates guidelines (actuals vs goal) to the regional and global business unit teams.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.

  • Typically 3-7 years of experience in a supply chain function.

  • Experience in more than one supply chain function.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver).

  • Identifies cutting edge analytical tools, models and methods for making key business decisions.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Excellent internal and external relationship management skills.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business problems using Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), statistical analysis, and financial modeling.

  • Very Strong project management skills, with capability to manage cross functional teams in multiple geographies.

  • Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.

  • Very strong understanding of the company's overall supply chain strategy.

  • Excellent understanding of Supply Chain systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of modeling and analysis.

  • Strong leadership skills including team-building and conflict resolution and management.

Operations Analyst is responsible for leading collaboration between relevant business units including Retail, Technology, Compliance and Operations to ensure that the Bank is able to effectively meet the requirements of the business through use of existing solutions. The Operations Analyst supports the Bank's business plans,significantly influencing the day-to-day operations as well as participating in and guiding strategic discussions and decisions. The Operations Analyst will act as a stakeholder and consulting resource in projects involving their assigned solutions and processes. * Acts as the business owner of assigned applications and processes. * Functions as a subject matter expert for assigned systems and processes and acts as a consultant to senior management and other business units as needed. Uses technical expertise in support of applications that are key to the running and performance of the bank. Manages client interaction and expectations regarding support and development efforts. * Works with business units to enhance existing processes and engage new functionality of existing applications and vendors to improve performance of the bank. * Builds a knowledge base of each assigned application. Uses understanding of business line processes to determine best-fit solutions. * Possesses demonstrated work experience with multiple processes and systems. Possesses understanding in the areas of application parameters and system design. * Manages and develops vendor relationships as needed. Serves as liaison between the production units and vendors as needed to resolve issues that arise and insuring compliance to all performance standards. * May be required to facilitate team and client meetings effectively. * Complies with, and helps to enforce, standard policies and procedures for technology systems. * Identifies partnering opportunities for complementary products and systems to automate and streamline processes * Attends industry-related conferences and/or training programs as needed, based on budget availability, to expand and enhance vendor and system knowledge. * Maintain a working knowledge of bank products, services, internal controls and policies and procedures. * Performs all other job duties as assigned. * A minimum 5 years of experience which includes banking and system or process management, or equivalent education and experience. Prior financial application support, banking operations and/or project management experience a plus. Experience with FIS applications preferred. * Thorough knowledge of functional area of products, services, operational policies and procedures, and compliance regulations. * Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence others and effect change. * Strong collaboration, technical, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to utilize superior analytical and critical thinking skills. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner across the organization. * Proven ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
