About the Team
The Akamai Platform Operations department is responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining Akamai's deployed network. As part of the Strategic Enablement Group, you will be working with a diverse collection of individuals responsible for projects and programs that enable continuous improvement within the Platform Operations department. In particular, the Strategic Enablement Group focuses on initiatives in analytics, quality, documentation, tools & automation, compliance, and disaster recovery.
About the Job
We are looking for a Business Operations Analyst to join our Data Science team in identifying, evaluating, measuring, and reporting on operational efficiencies. The Business Operations Analyst will be responsible for developing and presenting reports based on the thorough review and analysis of our current policies, resources, processes, procedures, and operational best practices. To be successful as a Business Operations Analyst you should be able to analyze complex data sets, identify shortcomings or opportunities, and work with management and employees to understand requirements. An outstanding Business Operations Analyst should be able to advise staff on all levels and develop new processes and workflows to enhance operations.
Identifying operational requirements and opportunities for improvement.
Gathering information by observing workflows, reading company reports, meeting with senior stakeholders, etc.
Determining appropriate methods to analyze operations, relevant information, and data.
Documenting findings, preparing reports, and making recommendations.
Developing new processes and procedures to enhance operations.
Working with managers and employees to implement changes.
Training employees to use new systems or follow new processes.
Determining the effectiveness of new processes.
Establishing and maintaining quality standards.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Mastery of Microsoft Excel o Proficiency with VBA preferred
Proficient at SQL and ability to read Python.
Experience preparing reports using Tableau desktop. Certification strongly preferred.
