Essential Function:

Accountable and responsible to the Sr. Manager of Business Operations. Responsible for the development of performance metrics and tools to improve key business processes in operations, planning, demand/capacity, and business operations. As a key member of the Business Operations Analysis team, provides detailed and insightful analysis regarding performance, supports the managing of the business dashboard and KPI's, and supports the development of data-driven activities to support cross functional success. Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Collects data to identify root cause of problems. Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls. Plans, performs, and implements process improvement initiatives to help drive accountability and mature key business processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop analytical approaches to drive business value, while working in the context of a variety of operational, financial, planning, demand/capacity, and quality data.

  • Communicate meaningful insights and apply an understanding of the business analyses to support operations and drive business value.

  • Collaborate on data analysis projects and communication of results to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand how critical issues, questions, and problems can be answered with data and analytics.

  • Lead identified areas of improvement developing Least Waste Way (LWW) processes that improve the businesses' ability to execute more efficiently.

  • Maintains reports and data queries to facilitate data analysis.

  • Develops and runs reports as needed across the business to support key functional areas.

  • Adheres to, develops, or revises standard operational and working practices (standard work)

  • Fosters an attitude and environment of continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve quality.

  • Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S. Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities. Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in operations, manufacturing, finance, or related field.

  • Experience producing in-depth analyses and reporting in a self-directed environment.

  • Six Sigma or Lean experience preferred.

  • Can apply knowledge of operational management models and statistics.

  • Can manage large datasets in Excel, JMP, Access, or other tools.

  • Mathematical and statistical knowledge and ability to provide recommendations from the analysis.

  • Advanced report design and formatting skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access).

  • Ability to develop reports and tools in power BI preferred.

  • Use of ERP and MES systems. Plex experience preferred.

  • Good working knowledge of core operations processes, including detailed scheduling, planning, production processes in a discrete manufacturing environment.

  • Experience writing and maintaining SQL queries preferred.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the environment is moderate.
