Landmark Hospitals of Naples Florida has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Office Manager to join our dedicated and professional team, where we are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to our patients.

Summary:
This position is responsible for overall planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling of the Business Office functions to promote the effective and efficient utilization of hospital resources..

Shift: FT/Days (M-F)

Responsibilities:

  • Verifies patients' medical benefits by telephone and online, including Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Insurance

  • Initiates and completes required pre-certification for scheduled cases in coordination with insurance companies and physician offices

  • Communicates detailed benefit information to patients and collects coinsurance when applicable

  • Documents patient demographics and financial information within the billing software program

Keys all charges in a timely manner

  • Documents patient demographics and financial information within the billing software program

  • Registers patients/front desk

  • Maintains employee files and assists with orientation and recordkeeping requirements

  • Effectively communicate with patients, physician offices and other healthcare personnel

  • Promotes cooperation within the department and leads by example, works as team player

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Previous hospital admitting, insurance verification and computer entry required

  • Minimum 2 years related experience in healthcare

  • Hospital background preferred

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and codes; strong computer skills

  • Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must be organized and detail-oriented

Ensure that billing parties are correctly billed for services rendered in accordance with the resident service plan including room and board and other supplies and services. Respond to billing questions in an accurate and timely fashion.
