SUMMARY: Manages the daily operations of the Business Office, coach, train and mentor designated Business Office staff. Assists in Business Office policy and procedure development and implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

HOURS: Monday- Friday 8:30AM- 5:30PM
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in healthcare administration/business administration required.
Minimum of three (3) years management/leadership experience required.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in medical coding, billing, collection, authorizations, denials, appeals, adjustments/refunds, registration, claims, and medical terminology required. Understanding of medical insurance products, contract interpretation, payor trends, KPI reporting, and EPIC EMR experience highly preferred. Project management and revenue cycle management experience desired.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Certification in medical procedure coding or equivalent work experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Oversee, and manage staff in designated areas; assign employees to areas according to departmental needs, as well as be a departmental liaison.
2.Interview, hire, initiate corrective action, termination decisions; monitor employee performance and conduct evaluations
3.Responsible for billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities
4.Train and mentor staff on job functions and computer applications, and conflict resolution
5.Monitor and analyze performance, and implement measures to improve, increase, sustain and maximize cash flow with vision and competence.
6.Plan, organize, manage, lead and coordinate account receivables.
7.Review and evaluate delinquent accounts and provide strategic direction as to actions to be taken toward resolution.
8.Assist with development and implementation of improved revenue cycle process.
9.Approve refunds/adjustments when appropriate.
Monitor reports from different applications; ensure appropriate follow-ups.
Assist with financial goal planning of the Business Office utilizing exceptional decision making and tactical skills
Assist with the development, implementation, and review of departmental and operation budgets, company policies, procedures, and programs.
Keeps Revenue Cycle Director informed of issues and concerns affecting the department.
Interface with outside vendors or internal departments as necessary.
