Belmont Behavioral Hospital currently has an opening for a Business Office Coordinator.

The Business Office Coordinator is responsible for accurate, timely and complete documentation regarding insurance verification, billing and collections.

The Business Office Coordinator will:

  • Responsible for verification and interpretation of insurance benefits and establishing financial arrangements with guarantor/patient.

  • Estimate patient out-of-pocket and make financial arrangements with guarantor/patient. Post payment and follow up with claims.

  • Prepare and review all billing forms to ensure accuracy and completeness for claims submission to insurance carriers and back up for Medicare and Medicaid claims.

  • Process claims electronically or hard copy with 100% accuracy and mail claims to insurance carriers timely.

  • Enter documentation and adjustments through computer system to maintain a correct account balance.

  • Update system information according to correspondence received and processed. Document any changes and submit to appropriate staff.

  • Review charge summaries on each patient bill that is produced and identify discrepancies with 100% accuracy.

  • Consistently apply appropriate procedures to prevent accounts from becoming delinquent or remaining unbilled.

  • Initiate appropriate follow-up and collection calls.

  • Review remittance advice statements for payments and adjustments on a daily basis and initiate appropriate data entry for patient charge or account discrepancy on review.

  • Identify denial and pending reasons and investigate, resolve and initiate information to secure reimbursement.

The ideal candidate will:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have at least 3 years' experience in related field. Must have extensive knowledge and understanding of Commercial Insurance and Medicare/Medicaid.

What You Need To Succeed Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent. * 1 year of external experience in customer facing sales OR 6 months Lowe's retail experience. * 1 year of sales experience in building and maintenance, building and maintenance supply, construction, trades, or maintenance repair operations (MRO), identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits. * 1 year of building and maintenance, building and maintenance supply, construction, trades, or maintenance repair operations (MRO) experience providing customer service, including identifying and resolving customer issues, assisting customers in locating product, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their business. Preferred Qualifications * 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales. * 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based upon customer needs or plans. * 2 years of experience in providing customer service including identifying and resolving customer complaints, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their business. * 2 years of experience following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, or installs. * 1 year of experience promoting product related services and plans such as installation, delivery, credit financing, or extended protection plans. * 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics. * 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist. * 2 years of experience in a trade directly related to commercial sales. * 2 years of business-to-business sales experience. If the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, you must either be licensed or pass the requisite licensing exam within sixty (60) days of starting employment in this position.
