The Business Manager is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the clients, including the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve clients assets and report accurate financial results. position requires a highly motivated self-starter who possesses strong initiative and the ability to complete multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. He or she needs the ability to communicate effectively with internal and contacts to solicit support to complete tasks. Critical outcomes include supporting the executive team with key financial information and operational analytics, and driving a culture of accountability in managing the business, adding value to operating businesses and voicing well-substantiated dissenting opinions.



  • Assist in formulating the Clients future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.

  • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans and develop financial and tax strategies.

  • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.

  • Develop performance measures that support the Clients strategic direction.


  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.

  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.

  • Manage the accounting and business management team.

  • Oversee the financial operations of Client Companies.

  • Manage third parties to which functions have been outsourced (payroll, systems, banking).

  • Implement operational best business practices.


  • Ensure the issuance of financial reporting packages (annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly deliverables).

  • Oversee the establishment of ad hoc financial modeling as needed and production of budgets and forecasts.

  • Establish financial and operating metrics to measure performance.


  • Reviews the schedule of all filings and reported information, providing accountability for accuracy and timeliness.

Risk Management

  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the Clients risk profile.

  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the Client and legal issues affecting the industry.

  • Ensure appropriate and reliable control systems are in place.

  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.

  • Monitor cash projections and forecasts and arrange for debt and equity financing.


  • BS in Business Administration, specifically Accounting, Finance, Economics, with strong academic record.

  • 10+ years of progressive public accounting, business management, and/or entertainment experience.

  • 5+ years in specifically entertainment industry,

  • CPA, CFP, or CMA required.

  • Must have experience in partnering with an executive team and have high level written and oral communication skills.

This includes outreach to a known and unknown client base for future construction project work, pursuit of client leads and client relations. This position has high visibility to the public and must maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times. Perform all essential functions and responsibilities in accordance with the company's value and beliefs and in alignment with Roy Anderson Corp's policies. Responsible for following all local, county, state and federal laws and company policies related to the position. A Business Development Manager reports to the Director of Business Development ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES OF POSITION: * Identifies business leads and performs cold-calling activities. * Seeks out and creates opportunities to expand the business with current and new clients and helps identify future areas of business growth. * Demonstrates versatility, flexibility, enthusiasm and creativity while working in an environment with constantly changing priorities and deadlines. * Assists in the development of business strategies to achieve organizational goals and utilizes public relations skills to develop potential business leads, contacts and relationships. * Works and coordinates with Business Development Department staff members with the preparation of proposals, budgets, bids, strategies, ideas and schedules related to sales activities. * Assists in establishing company sales goals related to gross volume, net margins, key markets and potential clients. * Updates sales forecasts on a quarterly basis. * Serves as the primary contact for new business leads and cold calls. * Reviews pre-qualification packages. * Considers the marketing potential of all company business transactions and pursues every opportunity to satisfy clients, continue relationships and build new business partnerships. * Develops and implements customer relations strategies to achieve company goals and continue growth and development. * Assists project managers and other staff members with customer-related issues and vendor relations issues as needed. * Seeks out and creates opportunities to expand the business with current and new clients and helps identify future areas of business growth. * Demonstrates versatility, flexibility, enthusiasm and creativity while working in an environment with constantly changing priorities and deadlines. * Develops strategies to build and strengthen new and existing relationships on behalf of the company. * Stays current on public affairs, industry trends and all target market development activities. OTHER DUTIES: * Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction industry. * Possesses strong organizational and interpersonal abilities. * Performs work tasks by receiving direction and then working independently with an interest in quickly learning and applying new skills and abilities. * Exercises creativity and resourcefulness in completing tasks accurately in a compressed time frame. * Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor. * Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriate. Education/Experience: Four (4) year degree with background training in Business Development or related field desired or equivalent work-related experience. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree. Five to eight years of related experience in the field or in a related area preferred. Work experience with the construction industry also preferred. Excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communications skills essential. Must have ability to produce highly professional proposals and presentations. Must work well with others. Position highly visible to current and potential clients. Out of town travel could be frequent. Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. On occasion it may be necessary to lift and carry or manipulate items of 20 lbs., walk over uneven or unpaved ground to reach a worksite in construction zones. This position may be required to perform a variety of construction tasks in all areas and aspects of the construction project – including scaffold or platform work, confined spaces and exposure to outside elements. If your position requires you to enter the field it is mandatory that you wear approved Personal Protective Equipment. This position may be required to work schedules which may include shift work, such as: dayshift, swing-shift, graveyard, holiday and/or weekend shifts. This position may also require occasional travel as necessary.
