Description
The Business Manager is responsible for the central administration and fiscal management of one or more clinical or institutional department(s). The Business Manager reports to a Senior Business Manager. The Senior Business Managers report to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Business and Administration.
The position directly coordinates or plans, guides, and evaluates the non-medical activities of the department(s). The incumbent will work with their managers in areas of administration and finance in order to assist the Department Chair(s) with the areas of finance, budgeting, auditing, revenue cycle monitoring, human resource management, supplemental pay, compliance with university policies, and coordination and negotiation with faculty, other medical school departments, Hospital Administration, and University Administration. The incumbent will assist the Department Chair(s), managers, and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance in coordinating, developing, and administering departmental policies, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications
Applicant must meet one of the following:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field and four (4) years progressively responsible professional experience.
Master's Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field with two (2) years professional experience.
