Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Business Manager to work in our Business Management department supporting National & Homeland Security. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our EROB office in Idaho Falls with every other Friday off.
The Business Operations Manager serves as the financial and business lead in the National & Homeland Security (N&HS) Directorate and as a liaison between N&HS and Business Management by assisting the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director and Chief Financial Officer in fulfilling laboratory-level financial fiduciary responsibilities.
This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Responsibilities Include:
This position has the primary responsibility of the management of business operations in support of the N&HS and laboratory's mission.
The position is fully accountable for home organization management and assigned N&HS organization responsibilities, ensuring high-quality business management services are provided to the N&HS SLT and Business Management SLT.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and ten (10) years relevant experience, or Advanced Degree and eight (8) years relevant experience or equivalent.
Level of experience and skills that allow roles and responsibilities to be performed with little to no management oversight.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and customers.
Proven in-depth knowledge and expertise in analysis, budgeting, forecasting, funding, scheduling, and reporting (i.e., performance, risks, and requirements, etc.).
Understanding and application skill in Finance, Human Resources, Project Management, Cost Estimating, Internal Audit, and Procurement.
Exhibited coaching/mentoring and collaboration skills.
Proficient in understanding laboratory business systems (i.e., COBRA, P6, and IPS, etc.) and procedures (i.e., project management, financial management and acquisition and contracts management).
Background in business operations applicable to facility management and operations, research programs, and/or operating/capital projects.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Salary Grade 230 ($124,368 - $211,596)
