Eaton's IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Business Manager. This position will be located at our Davenport, IA facility.

The Davenport facility has approximately 900 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace life support and safety systems components and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

The Business Manager will lead the Business Management team to effectively and efficiently achieve allocated metrics and growth targets. In this role, you will work with the team to successfully and proficiently execute transactions and support achievement of "Perfect Delivery". This position will establish, track, report and manage the Business Management Team metrics and activities.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

  • Set targets and manage performance to metrics.

  • Ensure accurate and appropriate preparation and submission of complex bid/contract proposals.

  • Develop and execute winning strategies to bring innovative solutions to customers.

  • Understand business case and economic conditions affecting proposals.

  • Provide input to internal business strategy development, market analysis, long-range growth plans.

  • Participate in internal bid and contract review process that often includes interface with and approval from senior management.

  • Drive booking forecast for allocated area of responsibility and output to senior leadership.

  • Input into resources, structure and capability to enable excellent execution for Business Management.

  • Drive and track performance against monthly, quarterly and annual business plans.

  • Provide input into SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) Executive Report; capable of presenting to Senior Management, as required.

  • Manage internal financial metrics that includes backlog and forecasts for bookings to support revenue planning.

  • Participate in yearly budget preparation, monitor and report against budget.

  • Oversee and drive strong financial metrics and performance with new and existing customers.

  • Drive quality and timely responses of customer deliverables.

  • Establish and report on metrics, including Customer Satisfaction, to measure and continuously improve performance of the Business Management activities.

  • Act as a representative of Business Management on assigned IPT cabinet.

  • Maintain and promote a successful and positive work environment; train new hires and provide coaching and counseling to direct reports.

  • Complete other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a customer facing role.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 70-mile radius of Davenport, IA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in managing direct reports.

  • Experience in Aerospace or Military/Commercial manufacturing.

  • Experience with SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations plan).

Skills:

  • Demonstrated strong commercial acumen, pricing and negotiation experience, in relevant business contracting environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to function in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary sales and business development environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive bookings and business forecasts.

  • Strong knowledge of customer and end-user operational needs and buying influences.

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Delivery focused mind-set.
