Reporting to the General Manager, this position leads the Division’s Operations team. This department within Albireo Energy supports project capabilities across Albireo Energy portfolio of projects. This position oversees each component of the Project initiative including Engineering, Project Management, Programming, Installation and Checkout. In addition, this position identifies market requirements, provides education, functions as a customer liaison, defines and develops solutions, and strives for continuous improvement. As the solutions lead, this person oversees revenue and utilization commitments.

Essential Functions

The Business Manager must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with little to no guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in managing the office budget and identify opportunities for office management improvements and new processes.
  • Support the General Manager to ensure all areas of the business are operating efficiently and within the vision and culture of the local division.
  • Ensure quality standards of all administrative processes and procedures to efficiently meet customer needs and support business operations.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet variance analysis, and work with the General Manager and department leaders on understanding variances.
  • Assist Department leaders in preparing financial reports/metrics for month-end deliverables.
  • Perform project financial analysis and job cost analysis as needed.
  • Oversee all lines of billing including TM, SJ, PS, PC, and SC billing to ensure prompt invoicing and cost comparison.
  • Lead collection efforts for all business lines and implement processes to reduce receivables.
  • Lead project coordinator staff and ensure job entry, billing and job costing is performed throughout the month both timely and accurately to meet the requirements of the financial close schedule.
  • Review and approve division accounts payable OPEX invoices.
  • Lead the local divisional fleet management program supporting the corporate Fleet Manager.
  • Prepare and pay monthly sales tax reports for working States.
  • Prepare quarterly commission reports for Account Executives and Project Managers for review and approval by the General Manager and department leaders.
  • Assist with the development and management of the divisional budget.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across a range or federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Support and develop a performance-based culture on accountability, both team and individual, to assure continuous improvement and alignment in vision, mission, and objectives.
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and development in the key areas of safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure that all quality standards, specifications, and policies are met, drive continuous improvements, and collaborate with the team to drive efficiency.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field (e.g. Management, Business Administration) with 5+ years relevant work experience in the field or related area that provides the requisite knowledge and skills for the position.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Prior experience supporting construction and field employee groups, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative.
