Requisition Summary

As technology and transportation increasingly started to converge, the PACCAR Silicon Valley Innovation Center was formed in 2017 to help PACCAR identify the relevant mega-trends, evaluate their impact, and enable PACCAR to continue its leadership in this new transportation paradigm.

The Innovation Center works across a broad range of cutting-edge areas including autonomous driving, driver assistance, electrification, connected vehicles, data monetization, and sustainability among many others. This role is full-time, on-site at our Sunnyvale, California office.

Basic Qualifications / Skills

This is a high-visibility, high-impact full-time role. It sits at the intersection of technology, business and commercial vehicles mobility. In this role, you'll report to the Innovation Center's Managing Director of Innovation Business Development and work on key strategic questions of high importance to PACCAR's future. Work you will do in this role will be used to inform future product and business decisions at PACCAR.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement strategies to solve high-visibility problems using detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses, interviews and cross-functional collaboration.

• Engage with a variety of stakeholders across divisions, functions, and seniority levels, develop trust-based relationships and influence stakeholders, and co-create deliverables.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to the PACCAR executive leadership.

• Lead, as appropriate, initiatives emanating from the work as part of a cross-functional cross-divisional team.

Qualifications

An ideal candidate profile is as follows:

• Solid grasp of business strategy: Comfortable selecting, tailoring and applying suitable business frameworks to creatively address strategic challenges. Prior management consulting experience as a Business Analyst or Associate is desirable.

• Intellectual horsepower to quickly come up to speed and ask relevant questions on unfamiliar areas while being humble and low ego.

• Advanced analytical, interviewing, listening, and rapport-building skills.

• Exceptional people skills: Ability to work with and influence a broad cross-section of stakeholders.

Qualifications cont.

• Self-starter who takes initiative and get things done with limited oversight.

• Strong written and spoken communication skills.

• Poise and professionalism geared towards an executive audience.

A deep interest or prior experience in transportation / mobility / logistics or technology is a plus. Although a tech background is not necessary, comfort with technology concepts such as platforms and APIs is important.

Education

• A bachelor's degree is required (technical undergraduate degree is preferred though not required.)
• A fresh MBA (with < 2 years of post-MBA experience) is preferred though not required.

The pay range for this role is $138,700 - $216,999, comprised of a $93,000 - $145,500 base salary range and a 30% cost-of-living adjustment for California.
