Facility Description:

Greater New Haven ASC, LLC (d/b/a North East Alliance Surgery Center) is a soon to open State of the Art outpatient surgical facility located in Hamden Connecticut. The center consists of four operating suites specializing in Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Spine, Pain Management and Orthopedic outpatient procedures. The facility is conveniently located minutes to the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) and Interstate 91.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Provide support to the facility by performing or providing oversight for specific or various business office functions as assigned. These functions are to include (but not limited to): Clinical Records,

Credentialing, Admissions/Intake, Accounts Payable Coordination, Liaison with CBO, Insurance Verification, Registration, Clinical Logs and other duties as assigned in a department leadership capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an active member of the center's growth, working with the Administrator, Business Office Lead and Clinical Lead developing and maintaining an effective program that encourages physicians to utilize the ambulatory surgery center.

  • Participate in the center's operational Core Leadership weekly meetings.

  • Market the center through weekly outgoing calls

  • Develop an ongoing communication plan with physician office schedulers to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills to supersede expectations and demonstrate exceptional professional behavior as a representative of SCA.

  • Maximize efficiency within the surgery schedule by organizing cases in conjunction with the Administrator or designee.

  • Communicate and partner with the Business Office Lead in a manner that is consistent for the center to maintain its high level of service.

  • Participates as a member of the team (business office, clinical, anesthesia and administration) to coordinate schedule with physician time, staffing, procedure complexity, patient age/needs, equipment availability and anesthesia coverage in mind.

  • Works closely with Clinical Director or designee to avoid equipment or supply conflicts.

  • Validates physician credentials at time of case booking to ensure license, insurance DEA and privileges are current. Verify credentials are entered into HST and coordinate with on-site credentialing coordinator.

  • Maintains copy of medical staff Delineation of Privileges to determine appropriateness of scheduled procedure.

  • Ability to prioritize and work independently.

  • Ability to provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency throughout the center.

  • Interacts with all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees in a mature, responsible manner to ensure a positive and professional facility environment

  • Displays a caring and responsive attitude and conducts all activities respecting patient, family and employee rights and expectations

  • Maintains confidentiality of all facility and patient information as required by facility policy

  • Completes appropriate financial management responsibilities.

  • Cross Coverage for Business Office personnel as coordinated with Clinical Lead.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management.


  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school preferred; minimum five years' experience in a medical office, hospital, outpatient surgery center or related field; Computer experience, Excel, Word, Medical Billing Software and Applications; Working knowledge of Medical Terminology.

  • All Interactions with patients, families, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, volunteers, co-workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with Facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations in accordance with the values of the organization and SCA.

The duties of the Lead Sales Associate include assisting customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operating a cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets. DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers. * Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment from customers and make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as necessary. * Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack boxes, cartons and totes of merchandise; stock merchandise, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves, and build merchandise displays. * Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom; and help set up sidewalk displays. * Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms. * Open and close the store under specific direction of the Store Manager. * Perform additional duties typically performed by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, in their absence.
