What do you get to do in this position?

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Internal Control and will be a key player on the Internal Control Team charged with elevating the level of Internal Control across the entire region. Please note, this role is an intermediate experience level position.

Internal Control within Schneider Electric encompasses all areas of the business including but not limited to Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Purchasing, HR, IT, Solutions (Projects), Field Services, Tax & Legal as well as the traditional Finance areas. This expanded scope and definition of Internal Control includes good practices, defined processes, and other risk reducing measures.

This position will interact will all levels of the business in the North American theater as well as Global Internal Control team members around the world. Team members are exposed to all facets of the business and network with many functional experts, Global process owners, and local teams spread across North America. Typical duties performed in this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, coordinate, and administer the annual Internal Control Self Assessment to the more than 100 businesses in North America

  • Review and Critique the results of the same

  • Draw conclusions and report on results with a focus on risk exposure and continuous improvement

  • Assist the business in finding creative ways to close out open Self-Assessment action plans at a macro level

  • Assist the business in finding creative ways to close out open Self-Assessment action plans at the local business level

  • Report on action plan completion progress

  • Provide any and all necessary Internal Control related training across the region

  • Actively handle any change management issues related to Internal Control

  • Find creative ways to keep Internal Control awareness high including use of internal Schneider social media tool

  • Serve as a Segregation of Duties Correspondent for the region


Occasional travel may be required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business

  • Strong analytical and writing skills

  • Well developed public speaking ability

  • Fast learner, objective, straightforward, eager, enthusiastic, and motivated

  • Organized, results oriented, "go-getter"

  • Knowledge of Internal Controls

  • Exposure to Auditing practices and methodologies

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • 3-5 years of Internal Control or related experience

The role of the Product & Operations Manager spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides cross-functional leadership — bridging gaps within the company between different functions, especially between development, sales and marketing, and support. We are looking for someone creative and inspiring, curious and fact-based, bold and caring. Responsibilities include: Leadership The Product & Operations Manager will lead a team of 3 that can grow to 5 during the year. They must train, coach and mentor other employees to make the best decision for everyone. The Product & Operations Manager must have experience in leadership and decision making Product Strategy The Product & Operations Manager is responsible for setting a product vision and strategy. Their job is to clearly articulate the business value to the product team so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release. They own the strategy behind the product along with its roadmap and must work with development to define, prioritize and build what matters. * Create and manage the product portfolio, roadmap, vision and backlog * Identify customer needs and market requirements * Evaluate competitive intelligence * Define financial goals * Create business plans and proposals for new initiatives * Strategic partner and third party supplier management Product Releases Product & Operations Manager must plan for what their teams will deliver and when they will deliver it. The Product & Operations Manager owns the HW and SW release aspects of product.
