POSITION SUMMARY: The Enterprise Data/Business Intelligence Manager will lead development and execution of strategic and tactical data and analytic projects. Track and evaluate industry standards and innovation in the data and analytic space. Establish and manage relationships with IT and business cross functional teams at all levels of the organization. Plays key role in the planning, development and execution of organizational data and analytic strategy and implementation. Ensures the organizational business goals and objectives around data are met. Incumbent has high technical and strong business knowledge of databases, data warehouses, analytics, data governance and standards.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with business data consumers and cross-functional IT teams to define data and analytic needs, use cases, and other requirements.

  • Lead the strategy and tactical implementation of FULLBEAUTY Brands' transition to a data driven organization.

  • The Enterprise Data Manager is responsible for managing the data warehouse team and is accountable for the overall data warehouse architecture and operation. The role will operate with minimal supervision to ensure that FULLBEAUTY Brands' data warehouse and data stores follow industry best practices and meet our organization's growing data and analytic needs.

  • Accountable for the development of standards, procedures and methodologies for effective operation across the Enterprise Data Ecosystem. Ensures data development and QA processes are effective, and produce consistent business value.

  • Ensures clarity and understanding of project definition and specifications for the development project team.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical groups.

  • Proven ability to build a strong and effective Data and Analytics team. Allocates staff according to work levels and the needs of each project.

  • Experience working and communicating in cross-functional business and IT teams.

  • Participate in employment decisions; set employee goals and complete performance appraisals; develop and mentor staff for improved performance.

  • Participate in strategic enterprise data and analytics planning as well as development strategy meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ Years of diverse IT experience in data warehousing, data governance, development and implementation, including: data analytics, retail data modelling, data standardization processes, managing production data sets or data warehouse platforms.

  • Highly experienced in Data Warehousing (preferably using Cloud Technologies), Data Governance/Architecture/Engineering, and reporting and analytics data platforms.

  • Experience in Retail industry (preferable)

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent a plus.

  • 3+ years of lead or management experience building strong and effective data teams.

  • Experience in dealing with multiple and diverse internal stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership - Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information and address all levels of the organization.

  • Requires knowledge and understanding of database architectures and data management processes and methodologies.

  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Snowflake, Matillion ETL, SAS, Netezza, MySQL and/or Tableau.

  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, demonstrating initiative and flexibility through effective and innovative leadership ability.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, interpersonal and communication skills, resource and project management skills.

  • Experience leading projects in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Requires very strong abilities in data modeling, data architecture, SQL database design, programming and management.

  • Experience standing up Data Warehouse solutions preferred.
