Position Title: Business Intelligence Support Engineer

What we're looking for:

The Business Intelligence and Data Engineering team at AmeriHome is the hub for all things "Data" at AmeriHome. We believe the best analytic solutions and applications depend on solid well designed data platforms that are built by asking the right questions, having a solid understanding of our business and most importantly - understanding our data. We are looking for a few dynamic and energetic individuals with fresh ideas to join our team.

What you will do:

  • Maintain and enhance reports associated with, but not limited to operations surveillance, pricing, best execution, hedging, pooling, valuations, default and delinquency reporting and accounting and servicing processes.

  • Work closely with business groups such as Secondary Marketing, Operations, Sales, Accounting, Servicing, Treasury and Credit Risk to streamline/automate tasks, formulate analyses, generate interactive reports, etc.

  • Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports

  • Return Ad Hoc requests and queries for both internal and external clients

What you will need:

  • Requires an understanding of object oriented programming; C# or C++ a plus

  • Requires an understanding of relational databases, Microsoft SQL Server a plus

  • Demonstrated experience in handling large datasets and relational databases

  • Bachelor's or postgrad degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or some other technically equivalent degree

  • Mortgage industry experience preferred

What you will do: * Design, develop and maintain core databases that support the company * Design, develop and maintain programs and reports associated with, but not limited to populating core databases, staffing models, operations surveillance, pricing, best execution, hedging, pooling, valuations, default and delinquency reporting, and accounting and servicing processes * Design, develop and maintain tools and analytic solutions for our trading desk * Design, develop and maintain programs associated with communicating data between third-party providers via various protocols (e.g. SFTP, HTTPS, Email), scraping the Web, etc. * Design, develop and maintain generic tools that can be used in a proprietary data management platform that allows for rapid application development and implementation * Create, maintain and deliver quantitative processes including data mining, predictive and prescriptive analytics and other complex data processing * Work closely with business groups such as Secondary Marketing, Operations, Sales, Accounting, Servicing, Treasury, and Credit Risk to streamline/automate tasks, formulate analyses, generate interactive reports, etc. #LI-PS1 What you will need: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or some other technically equivalent curriculum plus 5 years of on-the-job experience in a programming related role, OR * Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or some other technically equivalent curriculum plus 3 years related experience.
