Business Intelligence Modeler/Analyst

Duties:

• Analyze, develop, validate, publish and maintain metadata models.

• Perform Cognos administration tasks to include publishing metadata models and job scheduling;

• Plan, design, test, debug, configure and document business intelligence application systems and/or data warehouse development solutions. The BI Modeler/Analyst will work with the

• Enterprise Data Modeler to deploy technical solutions according to best practices;

• Verify the structure, accuracy, and quality of data;

• Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends based on information available in the company's data warehouse;

• Produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports, dashboards and data modules;

• Create supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes and process flow;

• Develop and maintain standards by implementing technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes;

• Assist in building other data models necessary for data analytics;

• Work with the Enterprise Data Modeler in the development and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse logical and physical models at the atomic and dimensional levels;

• Manage multiple assignments, organize and prioritize individual workload in order to meet required deadlines with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related analytical field.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience with Business Intelligence Reporting and metadata modeling and management software, such as Cognos Framework Manager

• Expert level knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).

• Kimball, Inman, OLAP methodology understanding

• Overall knowledge of data warehousing architecture and processes

• Ability to analyze and interpret data through complex analysis using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions.

• Ability to work with cross-functional groups to implement process improvements.

• Communicate effectively with business partners, peers, and management.

• Microsoft Office Suite to include SharePoint

Wage from $68,328.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
