WS Packaging is looking for an ETL Developer eager to use advanced data transformation techniques and tools as a means to develop data warehouse applications critical to the advancement of our business.

  • As an ETL Developer you will get to work with the BI Development Team and end users to create sophisticated analysis applications.

  • This is a mid to senior level opportunity. Our ideal candidate will make immediate contributions within our organization and take on new responsibilities. This position will afford you the opportunity to learn new technologies and skills while interacting with a wide range of customers in a variety of departments and business functions!

What you will do

  • Develop data warehouse objects including jobs, transformations, databases and data models to support the analytic needs of the BI Development Team and the business.

What we require

Bachelor's degree with a focus in Computer Science or Business Computer Info Systems.

  • Technical expertise regarding transformation and data modeling.

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho, Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator and databases including Postgresql and Sql Server.

  • Experience with complex SQL queries and Excel.

  • 3+ years experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale data warehouse systems and ETL transformations.

  • Performance tuning experience related to data warehousing required

  • Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures

  • Excellent interpersonal ( verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external and customer teams

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Some web development experience is a plus.

  • Dataset parsing, merging, analysis, and synthesis.

  • Strong technical communication skills; both written and verbal.

  • Ability to understand and articulate the "big picture" and simplify complex ideas

  • Strong problem solving and structuring skills.

  • Ability to identify and learn applicable new techniques independently as needed.

Job Summary Under supervision and guidance, the Corporate Risk Intelligence Analyst: * Acts as a liaison between technology and Corporate Risk Management (CRM) business partners for the creation of business requirements. * Participates in planning, definition and testing of changes. * Performs data analysis and rule recommendations. * Generates on-going and ad-hoc reporting. Analyze and recommend system configurations, forms, modeler and other business line configurations within the CRM Applications Mine and clean data from multiple sources, then analyze results to identify trends and patterns in order to recommend and configure changes for CRM application parameters leveraging excel or tools that support reviewing analytics and metrics. Provide recommendations with clear and concise rationale to be able to defend the change if asked by management, auditors and/or regulators. Developing, managing and evolving documentation in support of business line support of tools, models and validations. Work with technology, serving as business line resource for questions, issues, data, configuration, reporting, and general business line support for CRM tools and systems. Maintaining knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks in support of data, configurations, tuning, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
