MX is looking to add a business intelligence engineer to the Business Intelligence operations team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining KPIs that support management in assessing performance against objectives and in critical business decision making.

Job Duties

• Define, design, build, and audit key performance indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, and/or other reporting needs as requested by internal stakeholders

• Provide consultation to internal stakeholders to aid in data collection, data systems, and systematic processes to ensure data management and integrity

• Be (or become) an expert in business intelligence and analytics and company go-to for performance metric questions

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or similar in business management, information systems, software engineering, or finance, with at least 5 years of professional experience; or Master's degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent with at least 3 years of professional experience preferred

• Ability to distill complex information into easily consumable reports, statements and communications that provides insights, enabling quick decision making

• Hands-on experience in business intelligence, reporting, and analytics, with experience in creating complex algorithms, formulas, and calculations

• Expertise in SQL, MS Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides required. Experience in Python, R, VBA or other scripting languages is a plus. Notable experience and expertise in Domo is a huge plus.

• Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations, timelines, and deliverables

• Expertise in design and development of automated reports, dashboards a plus

• Strong analytic acumen and a deep understanding of how relational tables interact

• Enjoy working with data, inclusive of a keen attention to detail, data discrepancies, down-stream dependencies, etc.

• Creativity and a passion for data visualization and aesthetic appreciation

Work Environment

At MX, we utilize a hybrid work model, which allows us to attract top talent and increase impact through collaboration. Our team members enjoy a balance of remote work and in-office days. Travel expectations for remote employees is about 15%, and the company covers travel expenses for remote employees. Local employees will utilize in-office time on a weekly basis Tuesday through Thursday. Both local and remote employees can take advantage of our incredible office space with onsite perks like company-paid meals, onsite massage therapist, golf simulator, and meditation room to name a few.

Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $94,500 to $113,500. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
