DESCRIPTION

The Canada Transportation team is responsible for our transportation network's connectivity across Canada to deliver Millions of shipments each year. Our team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer II to help setup and deliver robust, structured reporting, and to create metrics, analytics and forecasting models. You will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. You will need an eye for detail, be proficient/advanced in SQL/DW/Python and have a knack for solving complex data and reporting challenges. A successful candidate will need to be able to collaborate with customers to understand and transform business problems into requirements and deliverables

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Bellevue, WA, USA

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

  • Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

  • Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

  • Familiarity with AWS solutions (EC2, S3, Redshift, RDS)

  • Experience with Linux basic commands

  • Knowledge of relational databases

  • Ability to automate scalable analytical and reporting solutions utilizing large data sets across multiple sources.

  • Familiarity with supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, optimization, and logistics - gained through work experience or graduate level education.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
