You experience us every day as a customer when you sign in, forget your password, or use Login with Amazon on a third-party site. We own a subtle but highly trafficked part of the customer experience that is critical to ensuring customers can shop and purchase.

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to drive the design and delivery of metrics and analytics that will guide Identity product leaders and engineers in making strategic decisions impacting Amazon customers world wide.

As an Identity Services Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE), you will:

• Solve important business problems through data mining, statistical analyses, and experiment design and analysis.

• Design, develop, and maintain ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions.

• Analyze data sets at scale - billions of rows and terabytes of raw data - to derive insights that help us understand our customers' needs.

• Collaborate with software engineering and product management teams to collect data and communicate the results of your analyses.

• Propose and prioritize improvements to metrics, reporting, and data collection.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

• Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts

• Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

• Proficiency using Python to manage large datasets, perform data analysis, and create data visualizations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
