Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Provide on-line reporting and analysis and a logical abstraction layer against large, multi-dimensional datasets and multiple sources. Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.

  • Proficient in a broad range of reporting tools and make appropriate trade-off decisions. Defines stable, testable, maintainable code with minimal defects.

  • Understand the maintenance characteristics, run-time properties, and dependencies of your team's software, including hardware platform, operating system and build dependencies.

  • Report on the status of projects in a timely and accurate fashion using available metrics. Take ownership of problems, propose solutions, and either take ownership for their resolution or ensure a clear hand-off to the right owner.

  • Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.

  • Participate in the full development life cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance/Accounting, or a related discipline.

  • 7+ years of work experience in software development and full product life-cycles

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

  • Quick learner with a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Demonstrated experience working directly with users in both development and support capacity

  • Demonstrated experience in data manipulation and computational processing using both SQL and NOSQL.

  • Coding/scripting language experience. (Python, Scala, Go, Ruby)

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Amazon Web Services (S3, SNS, SQS, RedShift, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda)

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Coding/scripting language (Python, Scala, Go, Ruby)

  • Demonstrated proficiency with ETL (SQL and NO-SQL) database skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency with OLAP technologies

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Machine learning

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Agile development methodologies

  • Financial systems experience

  • Experienced in application engineering best practices and experience developing and delivering BI solutions

  • Work in a DevOps environment and ability to serve as member of on-call rotation for critical off-hour support requests.

In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining production level Tableau dashboards, analyzing complex data sets to identify trends that are actionable by the sales organization. Additionally, this role will be responsible for writing and debugging advanced SQL queries to generate common data sources used by the organization as the single source of truth in reporting.
