Business Intelligence Developer

The Business Intelligence Developer will be part of a team that designs and develops YETI's enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytical systems. This position offers an extremely rare and unique opportunity to join a team that acts as a center of excellence for several analytic teams throughout YETI. This role requires a blend of data visualization and Tableau site Administration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Create, prototype, modify, test, and deploy reports to production while working closely with the end users

• Understand data needs and translate user requirements into technical requirements

• Analyze requests for data needs and prioritize project and ad-hoc efforts

• Assist the data engineering team in designing data models for optimized Tableau Reporting

• Manage Tableau security groups and row-level security within Tableau Online and reporting

• Maintain Tableau Online report environment, monitor usage, schedule data extracts, and provide new user training for the business analytic groups

• Investigate and resolve technical issues within the BI Environment and ETL processes

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications & Attributes:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, mathematics, or related fields

• At least 5 years of work experience in data analysis and reporting, working directly with business customers, understanding their requirements, and recommending solutions

• At least 4 years of experience writing complex SQL queries to pull data from the data warehouse

• Knowledge in data visualization best practices

• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL

• Experience with Google Big Query or similar Cloud Database Platforms

• Experience administrating Tableau Online

• Experience working collaboratively with data engineers and source system subject matter experts.

• Ability to work iteratively and convert business requirements into quick prototypes with different visualization options

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and overlapping timelines

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies

• Ability to learn new and existing technologies

• Strong skills and comfort level with Excel and other MS office tools

• Experience working with Onshore and offshore teams.

• Tableau certification or master's degree

• Power BI experience

• Experience with Python or similar programming languages
