Business Intelligence Developer (Corporate)

Work Location: San Antonio, TX

InGenesis is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and maintain various business intelligence and analytics solutions. These solutions will be essential in delivering enterprise-wide strategic, tactical and operational analysis and reporting to both operational managers and corporate executives.

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions

  • Translate business needs to technical specifications.

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI reports/dashboards to meet client needs.

  • Troubleshoot data integrity issues within existing data warehouse.

  • Analyze existing data sets in order to design and develop new data models.

  • Design and develop ETL to build new data models.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a strategic vision for their BI and analytic needs.

  • Manage the reporting and analytics platform(s) and associated software.

  • Ensure scheduled jobs are successfully run.

  • Ensure analytics data aligns to timeliness / completeness requirements.

  • Conduct regularly scheduled procedures to purse system of stale users/data/etc.

  • Provide end-user support.

  • Utilize Jira ticketing system to manage incidents and end-user issues.

  • Create and maintain system documentation as changes are implemented.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience developing/distributing Microsoft Power BI reports, required.

  • 3+ years' experience in a Microsoft BI environment (SQL Server, SSRS, or Power BI), required.

  • Strong T-SQL skillset, required.

  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), required.

  • Experience using ETL tools, such as SSIS or Informatica, highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, structures, and best practices, preferred.

  • Experience analyzing existing source data systems to design/develop new data models, preferred.

  • Experience with On-prem Power BI, preferred.

  • Familiarity with Team Foundation Services (TFS), preferred.

  • Experience in financial and/or operational reporting, preferred.

  • Experience using a variety of data sources (SQL, text, XML, CSV, MS Azure, Flow, Logic Apps), preferred.

SUMMARY Develops and deploys various communication strategies for internal/external audiences. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Serves as a contributing author and editor of the quarterly corporate magazine. Develops communication campaigns by working with internal clients (HR, training, community relations); disseminates information and provides advice on best methods and/or channels for distribution; and writes and/or edits material for clients. Must have strong creative and conceptual thinker. Must have ability to effectively interview people and gather and organize information for research and/or article writing. Must have working knowledge of HTML, best practices for web production, general specifications for web pages, social media platforms, and a working knowledge of the Internet. Must be proficient using CMS tools and other content creation tools. Must have working experience with web authoring and photo editing software. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel. Must be proficient with on-line computer communication operations, Internet analytic applications, and analyzation reports. Must have strong creative thinking, analytical, and organizational skills. Must have excellent communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of individuals. Must have strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
