As the BI Data Architect, you will support the data and analytics needs of our rapidly growing company by:
Redesigning an organic, incrementally-grown database to optimize performance and ease of use
Developing data models and extract, transform, load (ETL) processes for data generated by the web app, accounting, and marketing.
Prioritizing and addressing numerous stakeholder requests for reporting
Responding to ad hoc data requests while improving self-service options
Developing insightful reports and visualizations to serve a variety of business needs
The ideal candidate for this job has experience supporting a growing company by designing, maintaining, and tuning a corporate data warehouse and:
Enjoys working with data
Quickly grasps nuances of data sources and definitions
Understands business needs and stakeholder requirements for reporting and data
Collaborates with developers and BI consumers to ensure that data provenance is captured and communicated clearly and correctly
Prioritizes and execute multiple analytics projects supporting a variety of business functions
The candidate must demonstrate excellent working knowledge of:
SQL (preferably Postgres) data warehouse design, ETL, and queries
MongoDB (certification a plus)
Tableau (preferably Server)
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in:
Marketing automation (e.g., Hubspot)
Accounting (e.g., Intacct) or finance
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Statistics (including hypothesis testing, regression, and time series analysis)
Shell and Python scripting
Custom manufacturing (CNC Machining or 3D Printing)
