This role is responsible for developing and deploying reporting and analytical solutions to the client base using SIS Analytics and the QlikTech/QlikView product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop query models that support tactical and strategic reporting needs for clients.

  • Develop and maintain procedures and views used by SIS Business Intelligence product dashboards and information reporting related to clinical, financial, and technical areas of the client's organization.

  • Develop needs requirements and subsequent information validation procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and data accuracy.

  • Provide consultation and training to clients wanting to customize their views and compare data across multiple databases.

  • Review, analyze and evaluate business intelligence requirements.

  • Develop metrics dashboards and reports using QlikView product.

  • Act as primary point of contact for BI reporting and analysis needs including code development, changes, upgrades and patch application.

  • Map business requirements to client data and recommend analytical reporting strategies.

  • Develop procedures and build data displays that facilitate intuitive and instantaneous delivery of information.

  • Design, develop and test new queries with end users.

  • Assist in the identification of data integrity problems and recommend solutions.

  • Work with clients to improve operational efficiencies.

  • Ensure high level of communication with users to ensure that plans are constantly aligned with changing business needs.

  • Develop business test conditions, test cases and scripts and coordinates user acceptance testing.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of delivering BI scripting and programming experience for at least 3 years. (preferably Qlikview but will consider other BI solutions such as Oracle BI, SAS, or Cognos)

  • Knowledge of using databases, ideally Oracle, including web portal architecture and relational database structures

  • Knowledge of Business Objects (Crystal Reports 10 or higher) a plus.

  • Knowledge of Project Management Principles.

  • Skill in creating and running advanced SQL queries and other database functions

  • Skill in VB Basic Programming.

  • Skill in working with end-users to define requirements and design technical solutions.

  • Ability to utilize spreadsheets, graphing data and data analysis.

  • Ability to work independently, in tandem with another programmer, or as part of a team, all with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to communicate both in written and verbal formats.

  • Ability to listen effectively.

  • Ability to persuade and negotiate.

  • Ability to consult using creative solutions to approach issues.

  • Ability to take the business perspective and make complex technical concepts understandable for users.
