Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Design and develop reporting solutions that promote efficiency, improve service, and increase customer satisfaction in day-to-day operations. Interpret and translate business and technical requirements into reports and data models. Serves as key member of leadership team and the analytics and visualization expert for CCIT and its customers. Performs other duties as assigned.

Identifies decision support needs based on end-user specifications. Designs and produces visualizations, dashboards, reports, analytics, and other decision support tools, using available business intelligence and other IT and software tools. Collaborates with appropriate team members to analyze and validate outputs.

Structure, blend, virtualize, and analyze disparate data sources to provide insightful patterns and actionable recommendations. Provide quantitative and advanced econometric analyses, data mining, predictive modeling, and visualization expertise across academic and administrative units to address challenging questions, develop actionable strategy, identify increased efficiencies and opportunities, and uncover evidence-based ideas to improve institutional effectiveness and success.
30% - Essential


Develops integrated modeling solutions based on end-user specifications using a variety of tools to solve complex business issues. Plans and executes data mining, trend analysis, and adhoc data activities. Serves as expert regarding data used by CCIT, such as financial, budget, procurement, human resources, and space to support complex analyses and provide informed, data-driven decision making.


A bachelor's degree in related information technology or related field and experience in business administration, computer science, mathematics, engineering, management information science, networking-telecommunications, and/or data processing. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.


Master's Degree

  • Related Information Technology or related experience in Business Mgmt, Comp Science or Engineering.

JOB DUTIES: Curriculum Development: 40% - Essential - Codes all curriculum requirements and attendant academic policies in Degree Works using Scribe programming language. Ensures that all changes have received appropriate Undergraduate Curriculum Committee approval and, if appropriate, Commission on Higher Education and accrediting agency approvals as well. Communicates with academic departments for clarification as necessary to ensure that all University academic and general education policies are enforced. Curriculum Maintenance: 30% - Essential - Maintains accuracy and integrity of Degree Works audits by revising code as necessary and including approved blanket course substitutions. System Development and Troubleshooting: 20% - Essential - Responds to inquiries from students and advisers. Troubleshoots potential problems. Verifies the validity of issues, analyzes and identifies the source of the problem, researches possible solutions, and tests each option. Enforces course substitutions that have become unenforced due to changes in students' records. Supports Ancillary Systems and Processes: 10% - Essential - Provides information necessary for certifying student athletes' eligibility per NCAA regulations. Uses Scribe programming language to audit NCAA compliance for student athletes. Manages degree progress reporting scanned and indexed from old student system.
