The Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA) Manager is responsible for managing the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence systems at the Division of Aviation (DOA). The BIA Manager will design data models for the data warehouse and establish processes for introducing new datasets into the data warehouse.
The BI Architect will lead the DOA Business Intelligence team.
Improve and maintain data warehouse and business intelligence solution
Participate in design sessions with System Architects to determine appropriate schema designs for business systems
Establish the use of master data records by enterprise systems to prevent data inconsistencies
Analyze enterprise data use cases and design data warehouse data models based on determined data needs
Identify and appropriately handle confidential data in compliance with organizational policies
Design and document a standard end-to-end process for adding a new data source to the data warehouse based on best practices
Design templates for the end-to-end process of data source identification through to loading data into the data warehouse
Develop and document source-to-target mapping for various data sources
Design standardized tests for to analyze and validate incoming data from various data sources.
Manage the enterprise data catalog
Lead the design of scalable Data Models for applications based on business requirements
Lead the Data Warehouse team in consolidation of data from different data sources and business systems
in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field is preferred
Minimum of 5 years Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Architect experience working on multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects is required
Knowledge of Azure cloud technologies such as Data Factory, MS SQL service, Web Apps, Data Warehouse
Knowledge of data integration using APIs, Web Services, and other methodologies
Experience using Azure Functions to automate data integrations
Experience working with Power BI for building interactive dashboards connected to different data sources
Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile SDLC projects
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, departmental officials, outside consultants and vendors.
Prior experience working on Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects
Ability to write SQL stored procedures, write ETL scripts, and perform other hands-on tasks when necessary is a plus
